Strategic Opportunity

The Republic of the Marshall Islands is officially inviting qualified local Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), community groups, and government agencies to submit project proposals for the UNESCO Participation Programme 2026-2027.

This programme functions as a vital funding mechanism designed to support national initiatives that align with UNESCO’s global mandate. It provides a platform for local organizations to secure financial support for projects that drive community development and national progress.

Proposals must address key development areas falling within UNESCO’s fields of competence. We are seeking high-quality submissions that support:

  • Education: Initiatives improving access, quality, and inclusivity in learning.

  • Culture & Heritage: Preservation of cultural heritage and promotion of the arts.
  • Communication & Information: Enhancing access to information, media development, and statistical capacity.
