Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to take ownership of a mature Kotlin-based Android application and continue its modernization journey.

The role focuses on Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), with responsibility for application stability, performance, releases and ongoing architectural improvements. You will work closely with the iOS team on the shared KMP codebase while maintaining a fully native Android experience.

What You Will Work On

• Take ownership of the Android application through a structured handover
• Ensure application stability, performance and maintainability
• Manage releases and contribute to overall product quality
• Continue migration from XML to Jetpack Compose
• Integrate and maintain native advertising within the Compose lifecycle
• Contribute to the shared Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) codebase
• Support architectural improvements and modern Android development practices
• Document key technical areas and architectural decisions
• Support knowledge transfer and handover to a permanent team member

What You Bring

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin
• Strong experience with Jetpack Compose
• Strong understanding of modern Android architecture, such as MVVM and Clean Architecture
• Experience maintaining and evolving production Android applications with active users
• Strong understanding of Android lifecycle management
• Experience with application stability and performance optimization
• Experience with mobile release and deployment processes
• Practical experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)

Meritorious

• Experience integrating advertising SDKs such as Xandr
• Experience with analytics and consent management platforms
• Experience migrating large-scale Android applications from XML to Jetpack Compose
• Experience with AI-assisted or agentic coding workflows
• Experience working closely with iOS teams on shared mobile architecture
