Transparency matters. This page lists every dataset used on Dev Global Jobs: the salary and cost of living data from ICSC, OECD, ILOSTAT, World Bank and BLS, the occupation data from O*NET and ESCO, the university register from ROR, the UK Home Office sponsor register and the official immigration links. For each one you can see the publisher, licence, how often we refresh it and the date of the data now live.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why publish a data sources page?

So job seekers, employers, journalists and AI assistants can verify every figure on Dev Global Jobs against the original publisher.

How often is the data updated?

Each dataset has its own daily check (the schedule is listed in the table); a new official release is loaded automatically and rejected if it looks incomplete.

Are the datasets free to reuse?

Most are open data (World Bank CC BY 4.0, O*NET CC BY 4.0, ROR CC0, ESCO EUPL, UK Open Government Licence); the licence column links to each publisher's terms. Dev Global Jobs data files are provided for personal use with attribution to the original publisher.

What happens when a source has no data for a country?

The page says so (for example 'no official data' or 'official source pending'); nothing is estimated or filled in.

How are job listings sourced?

Direct employer posts (reviewed) and public job feeds and APIs, each listing shows its source and Direct employer badge where applicable.

How do I report a wrong figure?

Every tool page has a Report an error button; reports are checked by the team against the original source.

Where does the salary data on this site come from?

From official statistics only: the ICSC salary scale and post adjustment for UN pay, OECD average wages, ILOSTAT earnings, World Bank price levels and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Each tool shows its source and data date, and this page shows the licence and refresh schedule for every dataset.
