About SE3

SE3 Labs builds spatial intelligence and autonomy software for unmanned systems. We combine 3D computer vision, state estimation and AI to help autonomous platforms perceive their surroundings, know where they are and operate when GPS and other sensors become unreliable. Defence is a core application of our work today.

About the Role

As Head of Finance, you'll own SE3's accounting, reporting, planning and financial controls, and build the systems that make accurate numbers easy to use. You'll work on-site in Munich with our founders and external accountants, and support financing and the development of our international finance function as we grow.

What You'll Work On

• Accounting & Close: Own a reliable close and accurate accounting, working through the details with our external accountants and challenging them where needed.

• Reporting & Planning: Build reporting and planning that give the founders and leadership a clear view of the business.

• Controls & Audit: Set up financial controls, reconcile contracts, revenue and payments, and make SE3 audit-ready.

• Finance Systems: Build systems and automations that make accurate financial information easy to use.

• Financing: Support financing work as the company raises capital and grows.

• International Finance: Help develop the finance function as SE3 operates in more countries.

Your Profile

• You take ownership of outcomes, work with exceptional drive and have a clear reason to build SE3.

• You combine strong analytical ability with sound accounting judgement.

• You can own a reliable close, work through the details and challenge external accountants.

• You're a hands-on systems builder and have improved how a finance function works.

• You speak fluent English; German is a plus. Given the nature of SE3's work in the defence sector, candidates must be eligible to work on defence-related projects and, where required, obtain the relevant security clearance.

Especially Valued Bonus Skills

• Coding ability.

• Building finance workflows with automation or AI agents.

• Experience at a fast-growing startup or in venture capital.

• Experience with international entities.

1. Intro Call (30 min): Let's get to know each other.

2. Case Study (90 min): We work through a realistic finance or systems problem together.

3. Deep-Dive Interview (1 hr): We dive into the finance processes and systems you have built and how you make numbers reliable.

4. Team Dinner / Lunch: Meet the team and see whether it is a strong fit on both sides.
