Group Security Hub Operations - Security Officer (Dubai Hub)

As a Security Officer with Hub Operations you will support the Security Controller in delivering effective security operations across Dubai Hub Airport and Cargo Operations, ensuring the security of aircraft, cargo, airport facilities and associated operational areas within the UAE. The role is responsible for implementing and monitoring preventative security measures, supporting timely response to security incidents, identifying security breaches and non-compliance, and ensuring adherence to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), national and international aviation security requirements. The Security Officer works closely with internal operational teams, government authorities and relevant stakeholders to maintain secure, compliant and efficient Hub Operations.

In this role, you will:

• Implement and monitor security measures across Hub Airport Operations, including aircraft, operational areas, gates, entrances and other controlled areas, ensuring compliance with approved SOPs.
• Implement and monitor security procedures supporting Hub Cargo Operations, identify security violations or breaches, escalate findings to the Security Controller and recommend appropriate corrective actions in accordance with approved SOPs.
• Support the protection of aircraft through required pre-departure and post-arrival security activities, ensuring relevant security procedures are consistently applied.
• Support the Security Controller in responding to security incidents affecting Airport and Cargo Operations, ensuring appropriate escalation and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor adherence to established security procedures across Airport and Cargo Operations, identify areas of non-compliance and support corrective and preventive measures.
• Implement approved SOPs and propose improvements where operational experience identifies opportunities to strengthen security effectiveness, efficiency or compliance.
• Maintain effective cooperation with Hub Operations stakeholders and relevant governmental and private-sector partners to support coordinated security operations and incident response.
• Support continuous development of security personnel through operational guidance, training, learning and sharing of security best practices.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
• 5 + years Security experience.
• Experience with aviation security including cargo security and loss prevention.
• Experience in a leadership role.

• Have a professional/academic qualifications in Aviation Security (AVSEC).
• Have good planning skills.
• Have experience implementing security preventative measures.
• Have experience coordinating rapid incident responses.
• Have experience team training for skill development and performance.
