Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible experience in clerical or office work of any kind which has demonstrated the ability to perform the duties of the position in a satisfactory manner. Practical knowledge of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in a recreation program activity.

Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination. Must be able to read, speak, and write English and communicate effectively with patrons. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. May be required to work and uncommon tour of duty. Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) required.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Greets visitors, answers telephones, makes reservations for classes or use of equipment and facilities, and provides information on scheduled events and classes. Provides assistance to visitors. Issues sports equipment and completes required documentation for transactions. Inspects returned equipment noting damage. Reports damaged exercise equipment to supervisor. Perform opening and closing procedures of facilities. Launders towels and uniforms for the sports program.
