01Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Biomedical Scientist with strong ultrasound competency to join our clinical team in Stockholm on a part-time basis, working two days per week.
You will perform echocardiography and vascular ultrasound, interpret the findings and independently sign off reports for normal studies, as part of Neko's preventive health offering. You will work independently within a multidisciplinary clinical team. Abnormal findings are reviewed at our cardiology meeting. Your findings feed directly into each member's full health picture.
02What You'll Deliver in the First 6 - 12 Months
- Conduct comprehensive transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), including Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS), and vascular duplex ultrasound, in line with ESC and ESVS standards and Neko protocols.
- Interpret findings and independently sign off reports for normal studies, ensuring timely delivery of results to members and referring clinicians.
- Present abnormal or equivocal findings at the cardiology MDT meeting for review and sign-off.
- Interpreting the ECG findings.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to integrate ultrasound findings into holistic health assessments.
- Participate in regular ultrasound MDT meetings.
- Escalate urgent or unclear cases immediately to a cardiologist or clinical physiologist, without awaiting the meeting, in accordance with Neko's escalation protocols.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the training of junior colleagues as required.
03Minimum Requirements
- Licensed Biomedical Scientist in clinical physiology.
- At least 3 years of full-time clinical experience, including at least 3 years in ultrasound.
- Proven experience performing and interpreting a wide range of echocardiograms, including GLS.
- Proven experience in ECG interpretation.
- Sound clinical judgement, including reliably distinguishing normal from abnormal studies and recognising when escalation is required.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex findings clearly to members and colleagues.
- Commitment to high clinical standards and ongoing professional development.
- Fluent in Swedish and proficient in English, both spoken and written.
04Preferred
- Dual qualification in vascular ultrasound, with the ability to perform and interpret studies independently (training is available for candidates with a strong interest in vascular ultrasound but no prior experience).
- Familiarity with integrating echocardiographic data into broader health assessments or preventive health strategies.
- EACVI certification for adjult transthoracic echocardiography.
- Previous involvement in health technology initiatives or research projects.
Interviews are ongoing, so don’t hesitate to send in your application today!
