The PACE is fast. The expectations are high. The contribution matters. Working at TYTAN is more than a job, this is a mission. We push boundaries, think big, and hold ourselves to the highest standard. Our mission and values guide everything we do, and we're looking for people who are driven by ownership, embrace challenges, and are energized by meaningful work. If you're motivated by impact and thrive in dynamic environments, you'll fit right in.

At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect European sovereignty.

We are looking for a Senior Avionics Engineer to define, implement, and validate the avionics architecture of advanced UAV platforms, preferably someone who knows both hardware and software that can run and debug current firmware we are using and address hardware related issues like (EMI, power, interfacing) with good component knowledge.

This role is hands-on, system-level, and deployment-focused. You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, ensuring that all onboard systems communicate reliably and perform in real operational environments. You will act as a technical sparring partner across avionics and system integration, contributing experience, pragmatism, and strong engineering judgment.

02Your roadmap to make an impact

  • Design and integrate avionics subsystems, including flight controllers, sensors, power distribution and communication links

  • Develop schematics and PCB layouts together with internal teams and external suppliers

  • Define and run integration, bench and flight tests, and analyse the resulting data

  • Select components and work with suppliers on sourcing, quality and lead times

  • Ensure robustness against vibration, temperature, EMI and other environmental factors

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, interface definitions and test reports

  • Degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics or a similar field

  • Several years of experience designing and integrating embedded or avionics hardware

  • Experience with autopilot / flight stack firmwares (PX4, Ardupilot, Betaflight)

  • Solid knowledge of common interfaces and bus systems such as CAN, UART, SPI and I2C

  • Experience with schematic and PCB design tools as well as lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies

  • A structured, hands-on approach and the ability to move fast without compromising reliability

  • Very good English skills
