01About the Role

Join our Investment Team as a Trainee “Junior Analyst” and gain hands-on experience across the full investment process, from portfolio monitoring and client reporting to Investment Committee preparation.

In this role, you will act as a key link between the Investment Team, the Client Management Team (CMT) and IT. The Investment Team defines investment requirements, CMT is responsible for operational and administrative execution, and IT supports the underlying systems. You will help these three areas work together smoothly: clarifying requirements, following up on execution and translating business needs into practical process and system improvements.

Working closely alongside experienced investment professionals, including senior team members, you will add capacity to the team and progressively take on responsibility for clearly defined activities as you grow into the role.

Reports to: Head of the Investment Team

Workload: 60-100%, depending on availability and experience

02Investment & Client Support

  • Support portfolio reviews, investment analyses and data quality checks

  • Contribute to the preparation of client presentations, portfolio materials and recurring analyses

  • Assist team members in preparing for and following up on client meetings

  • Help prepare materials for the Investment Committee and its Sub-Committees

  • Contribute to recurring reporting and other investment-related tasks

03Coordination between Investment and CMT

  • Monitor operational activities performed by CMT in the portfolio management system (PMS), identify errors or inconsistencies and follow up until they are resolved

  • Identify and investigate data, PMS and execution issues affecting the Investment Team

  • Facilitate communication between both teams and ensure required data corrections and updates are completed

04IT, Automation & Process Improvement

  • Identify repetitive, manual or error-prone processes with potential for improvement

  • Work with Investment Team members to gather detailed requirements and define practical use cases

  • Help communicate the Investment Team’s requirements clearly to IT

  • Support the testing of new functionalities developed by IT and coordinate feedback and refinements

  • Explore how automation, AI and other technologies can reduce manual effort

05Your Profile

You are a high-potential student, recent graduate or junior professional who brings:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills

  • A genuine interest in financial markets and investments

  • Excellent Excel skills

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • The ability to understand and structure complex processes

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams

  • A proactive, hands-on mindset

  • Curiosity about technology, AI and automation

  • Excellent command of German and English (C2 level); French language skills are an advantage

Knowledge of Python, SQL, Power BI, Power Query, VBA, APIs or workflow automation is a plus, but programming skills are not a requirement, this is not an IT role.

06What We Offer

  • Broad exposure to investment management, portfolio management and client relationships

  • Direct collaboration with senior members of the Investment Team

  • First-hand insight into Investment Committee and Sub-Committee processes

  • Hands-on experience at the intersection of Investment, Client Management and IT

  • The opportunity to shape how the Investment Team works through practical improvements

  • Growing responsibility in line with your performance and initiative
