01About the Role

We are seeking a high-performing Renewal Manager, Public Sector DACH to own and accelerate commercial success across our growing public sector customer base in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

In this strategic role, you will serve as the commercial engine of the customer lifecycle, protecting and growing recurring revenue (ARR). You will manage end-to-end renewal strategies, lead complex contract and pricing negotiations, and navigate the intricate purchasing structures of federal, state, and municipal entities. Working in close partnership with Customer Success Managers, Sales, Legal, and Public Sector specialists, you will ensure predictable revenue retention while driving account expansion.

This position is ideal for an ambitious commercial professional who thrives on clear revenue ownership, excels at navigating public sector governance, and operates comfortably in a high-accountability, high-impact growth environment.

02Here's how you'll make a difference

• Drive end-to-end commercial ownership of renewals, expansions, and migrations across a dedicated DACH Public Sector account portfolio

• Strategically align renewal timelines with complex municipal and public sector budget cycles (annual, bi-annual, and emergency allocations) to ensure early outreach and predictable closures

• Manage commercial framework agreements and navigate specialized procurement routes, tenders, and purchasing consortiums

• Lead pricing, term, and contract negotiations in strict accordance with public sector pricing guidelines, compliance rules, and regulatory price caps (e.g., maximum uplift thresholds)

• Engage and negotiate effectively with multi-layered public stakeholders, including municipal administrators, procurement officers, legal teams, and IT/security leads

• Maintain rigorous forecasting accuracy and pipeline hygiene in CRM systems (Salesforce/CPQ), identifying and mitigating at-risk renewals early

• Collaborate seamlessly across internal teams-Customer Success, Public Sales, Legal, Finance, and RevOps-to resolve escalations and execute tailored renewal playbooks

• Managing escalations and complex renewal scenarios

03What makes you a great fit

You are a commercially focused, resilient professional who excels at managing revenue targets, building trust with public sector officials, and steering complex multi-stakeholder negotiations to successful completion.

You bring:

• Commercial Acumen & Execution: Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of target achievement, value-based negotiation, and proactive ARR retention

• Public Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of DACH public sector purchasing procedures, formal tender processes, framework agreements, and municipal budget planning timelines

• Stakeholder Management: Confidence leading negotiations with procurement executives, administrative directors, legal counsel, and public authority leaders

• Analytical & Process Rigor: Data-driven approach to forecasting, pipeline tracking, and navigating strict organizational pricing policies or contractual uplift caps

• Resilience & Problem-Solving: Ability to stay composed and solution-oriented during prolonged public administration review cycles and complex contract escalations

04Language Requirements (Must-Have)

• Fluent English

• Fluent German

Full professional fluency in German and English is required, as you will regularly conduct formal commercial negotiations, legal correspondence, and executive discussions in both languages.

05Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Renewals, Account Management, Commercial Sales, or Customer Success within B2B SaaS or technology organizations

  • Demonstrated track record of managing ARR targets, commercial contracts, and public sector accounts in the DACH region

  • Hands-on experience navigating DACH public administration procurement frameworks, compliance environments, and CPQ/CRM systems

06What we offer*

  • Work/Life balance: Flexible hours, 33 vacation days, and parental leave support

  • Wellbeing and financial support: Access to Open Up, Corporate Discounts, Wellbeing & Fitness Benefits

  • Connection & community: Virtual events, collaborative team activities, and opportunities for local meet-ups

  • And the list goes on: Tech equipment, referral bonuses, an individual development budget, dog-friendly HQ
