Salary: £61,500 to £80,000

01About us

Riverlane’s mission is to master quantum error correction (QEC) and unlock a new age of human progress. From advances in material and climate science, to complex chemistry simulation for new drug design, quantum computers will help humanity solve some of its most important challenges. But without QEC, the industry’s defining technical challenge, such breakthroughs can never be achieved. Riverlane is the world leader in QEC technology. It’s a complex problem that requires a range of skills, talent and passion.

Having raised more than $125M in funding to date to accelerate our cutting-edge R&D in quantum error correction (QEC), Riverlane partners with many of the world’s leading quantum hardware providers and governments to make fault-tolerant quantum computing a reality. We’re making remarkable progress and growing fast

02About the role

We are looking for an exceptional Product Marketing Manager to lead the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for Deltaflow, our real-time quantum error correction (QEC) system. Deltaflow is a critical component in the quantum computing stack, enabling the ultra-fast data processing and decoding required to correct errors in quantum computers in real time with high accuracy and throughput.

This is a unique opportunity to join a world-leading deep-tech company at a pivotal stage of market development. You will sit at the intersection of engineering, product, customers, and commercial strategy, translating highly technical innovations into compelling value propositions for quantum computing companies, national laboratories and HPC centres. You will help us craft the value proposition and marketing plan for each of our partners.

03What you will do

  • Oversee Deltaflow’s product marketing strategy, positioning, messaging architecture and customer value proposition(s)
  • Segment the Deltaflow value proposition for different audiences, particularly quantum hardware companies, national labs and HPC Centres. They may require different capability bundles
  • Develop product briefs, presentations, website content, and sales collateral
  • Create effective collateral and campaigns including product website, video explainers, webinars and demos
  • Conduct market and competitor research analysis and reporting
  • Oversee our partner marketing programme for Deltaflow, covering both customers and technology partners. This will include joint demos, case studies, talks, usage data and testimonials
  • Manage one partner marketing manager, initially
  • Stay abreast of important engineering, science and product developments in the industry, particularly as it relates to QEC, real time decoding, control and simulation
  • Be a key member of a collaborative Marketing team of 6-8 people
  • Be a champion and voice of the customer within Riverlane

04What we need

  • A minimum 5+ years’ experience in deep tech product marketing
  • Proven success in articulating ‘deep tech’ with clear and compelling storytelling
  • Proven experience taking complex technical products from development through market adoption
  • Experience building positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for emerging technology categories
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology buyers and technical decision-making processes
  • A genuine curiosity about quantum computing
  • A collaborative, cross-functional team player, in line with our company values
  • Thrives in a fast-moving, rapidly evolving, self-empowering culture
  • Excellent written and spoken English

05Even better if…

  • You have product marketing experience in quantum computing, semi-conductors, software or computing

06What can you expect from us

  • A comprehensive benefits package that includes an annual bonus plan, private medical insurance, life insurance, and a contributory pension scheme
  • Equity, so that our team can share in the long-term success of Riverlane
  • 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and enhanced family leave
  • A diverse work environment that brings together experts in many fields (including software and hardware development, quantum information theory, physics and maths) and over 20 different nationalities
  • A learning environment that encourages individual, team and company growth and development, including a regular programme of learning events and training and conference budgets
