At Ananda Impact Ventures, we’re not just investors; we’re pioneers and innovators in the impact investment landscape across Europe. With Europe’s longest track record in Tech Impact VC, we are now investing from our freshly closed €100M Fund V. Learn more about our mission and team at Ananda.

We see considerable potential for artificial intelligence and automation to improve how venture capital firms operate, from identifying and evaluating investment opportunities to supporting portfolio companies and managing internal processes.

Our objective is to systematically integrate these technologies into our organisation, developing connected systems and applications that enhance the quality, efficiency and scalability of our work.

01The Role

We are looking for an AI & Automation Manager to develop and implement AI-driven solutions and automation across Ananda.

In this role, you will work closely with the whole team to identify opportunities for technological improvement, translate operational requirements into technical solutions and take responsibility for their implementation.

The position combines software development, AI engineering, systems integration and process optimisation. It requires a practical approach to technology, an understanding of business requirements and the ability to independently manage technical projects from concept to deployment.

You will have the opportunity to shape Ananda's internal technology infrastructure, establish scalable solutions and assume increasing responsibility as our AI and automation capabilities develop.

02Responsibilities

  • Investment processes: Develop and implement AI-enabled solutions that improve the identification, evaluation and execution of investment opportunities.

  • Portfolio management: Build systems and applications that support the collection, analysis and use of portfolio information.

  • Process automation: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows across investment activities, fund operations and internal administration.

  • Data and systems integration: Develop and maintain the technical infrastructure connecting internal applications, external platforms and relevant data sources.

  • AI applications: Design, develop and maintain AI-powered tools, agents and automated workflows to support the organisation's activities.

  • Technology development and adoption: Evaluate emerging technologies, identify relevant applications and support their effective integration into existing processes.

03Technical Skills

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including practical experience with Python, APIs, databases and modern development tools.

  • Hands-on experience developing AI-powered applications using large language models, AI agents and related technologies.

  • Experience implementing workflow automation and integrating different software systems and data sources.

  • Understanding of software architecture, data processing, deployment and the development of reliable, maintainable applications.

  • Familiarity with information security, access management and the responsible handling of confidential data.

  • Experience with modern AI-assisted development tools and an interest in continuously expanding your technical expertise.

04Professional and Personal Qualifications

  • Practical experience: Demonstrated ability to independently develop and implement software applications or automation solutions.

  • Ownership: Ability to manage technical projects from requirements gathering through development, deployment and ongoing improvement.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Strong ability to understand business processes, identify opportunities for improvement and develop appropriate technical solutions.

  • Pragmatic approach: Ability to evaluate technical alternatives and balance functionality, complexity, reliability and development effort.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: Interest in emerging technologies, startups, venture capital and impact investing.

  • Communication and collaboration: Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively with colleagues from different professional backgrounds.

Previous experience in venture capital, private equity or the startup ecosystem is an advantage but not a requirement. We place particular value on relevant practical experience, technical competence and the ability to work independently.

05What We Offer

  • Technical ownership: Responsibility for developing and implementing AI and automation capabilities across the organisation.

  • Meaningful contribution: The opportunity to improve the systems and processes supporting our investment activities and portfolio management.

  • Collaborative environment: Direct collaboration with an experienced investment team and exposure to a broad range of technologies and business models.

  • Professional development: Opportunities to expand your responsibilities and contribute to the organisation's long-term technology strategy.

  • Flexible engagement: An initial part-time or freelance arrangement, with the potential to transition into a full-time position as the role develops.

06Application

We welcome applications from individuals with a strong technical background who are interested in applying AI and automation in a venture capital environment.

Please share your CV, together with examples of relevant software, automation or AI projects you have developed. We are particularly interested in understanding the problems you addressed, your technical approach and your individual contribution.

We look forward to learning more about your experience and your interest in joining Ananda Impact Ventures.
