Business Developer / BDR (m/f/d)

As Business Developer (m/f/d), you will build our business in the Netherlands and Belgium from the ground up. You will bring SMARTVÉLO e-bikes to new customers in delivery, logistics, restaurants and franchise chains, set up pilots and turn them into long-term fleet deals. You will be our first person on the ground, with a lot of freedom, short decision paths and direct contact with management.

01Your tasks

• Generate new business: You create your own opportunities through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach and visiting stores and branches in person

• Set up pilots: You bring new customers on board with pilots and convert them into long-term contracts

• Consultative selling: Our product is high-end and priced accordingly. You understand the customer's delivery operation and show why it pays off

• Target the right segments: You focus on delivery and last-mile, restaurant chains and franchises, grocery retail and care services

• Stakeholder management: You talk with operations as well as management and build lasting relationships

• Interface to Cologne: You work closely with our sales team and management in Germany and give feedback from the market

02Your profile

• 2-5 years of commercial experience with a real track record in new business (not pure account management)

• Proven experience with cold outreach: you have booked meetings yourself, by phone or in person, without waiting for inbound leads

• Affinity with mobility, e-bikes, fleet, delivery, logistics, restaurants or franchise

• Hunter mentality: entrepreneurial, practical, direct and accountable

• Comfortable with targets, rejection and ambiguity. Not every process is set in stone with us yet

• Ambition to grow into a senior role

• Based in or around Utrecht (or within easy reach of central NL), willing to travel a lot

• Fluent Dutch, good English (German is a plus)
