Mycronic is a global high-tech company whose innovative solutions have been advancing electronics technology for over 50 years. Today we continue to grow and serve customers in an expanding variety of industries. What we do impacts the future of technology, and in turn, the way we live our lives tomorrow. We’re looking for people to join our talented, motivated and friendly team on the cutting-edge. Here, in an open, collaborative and flexible environment, you’ll work alongside leading industry experts and take on challenging projects that bring tomorrow’s electronics to life.

01About the role

For over 50 years, our innovative solutions have developed and manufactured machines for electronics and display manufacturing. We continue to grow within an expanding range of industries, and the Pattern Generator (PG) division holds a unique position in the market as the world's leading supplier of laser-based mask writers for photomask manufacturing, which, in turn, are used to produce high-resolution displays and semiconductors. For any high-resolution display produced in larger volumes that you see, whether it is a TV, phone, tablet, or smartwatch, Mycronic’s machines are a critical part of the manufacturing process. Our product portfolio also includes inspection machines that help ensure the quality of the photomasks used in display and semiconductors manufacturing.

In this role, you will be part of our R&D team Metrology and Process Control Group (PMCD), which currently consists of 12 team members working within pattern design, metrology, cleanliness, and data analysis.

02Technical Project Leadership

  • Lead technically demanding customer demonstrations and development activities from concept to implementation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with production, quality, metrology, R&D, suppliers, and customers.
  • Drive technical decisions, manage priorities and risks, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to the development of engineering competence within PMCD.

03Lithography Process Ownership

  • Own and continuously improve lithography processes to ensure process capability, stability, yield, and product quality.
  • Define and maintain process specifications, operating procedures, and engineering standards.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.

04Advanced Process Control (APC)

  • Develop and implement APC strategies using statistical methods, SPC, DOE, and other data-driven approaches.
  • Analyze process and metrology data to identify sources of variation and define opportunities for improvement.
  • Define and monitor relevant process KPIs and drive improvements in process robustness and performance.

05Process Development & Technology Innovation

  • Lead the development and qualification of new lithography processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Design and execute experiments to optimize processes and support technology development.
  • Translate research and emerging technologies into robust, scalable manufacturing solutions.

06We are looking for

This is a role for you who enjoy combining scientific understanding with practical engineering to develop robust, data-driven solutions that create long-term value. You have a structured and analytical mindset and thrive in multidisciplinary environments. You are curious, proactive, and continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, technologies, and ways of working. As you will collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders across the organization, you are a strong team player who enjoys building relationships, fostering collaboration, and leading technical discussions to achieve common goals.

07On top of that, you have

  • A Masters Degree or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • At least some years of industrial experience in semiconductor manufacturing, lithography, photomask manufacturing, or another advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering, process characterization, and statistical data analysis.
  • Experience with DOE, root-cause analysis, and systematic problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience leading technical projects or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities.
  • Strong knowledge in English, both written and spoken.

08We see it as a merit if you have

  • Experience with APC, SPC, process monitoring, and metrology systems.
  • Experience qualifying new processes, materials, or equipment.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor, photomask, or display manufacturing technologies.
