IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT), GS-2210-11: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level experience in: approaching techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls; Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment; Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT), GS-2210-11, is to design, deploy, install, operate, maintain, modify, and recover various types of communications electronics (CE) information technology (IT) systems and their components. Incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the mission accomplishment and training workload of the Theater Deployable Communications (TDC) work center.

Manages Network Control Center requirements to meet operational, training, and readiness missions which includes Risk Management Framework and Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) network management in addition to satisfying communications security (COMSEC), cybersecurity risk assessments, and encryption requirements. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
