Are you looking for a endocrinology position where you can combine broad clinical work, professional responsibility and a high quality of life?

This is an opportunity to work as a specialist in endocrinology in a close-knit Nordic healthcare environment, while living in a peaceful island community surrounded by nature and the sea.

01About the Island

This Nordic island is home to approximately 30,000 residents and offers a safe, peaceful and family-friendly environment. With its beautiful archipelago, clean air and easy access to outdoor activities such as hiking, sailing and cycling, the island provides excellent opportunities for an active lifestyle outside of work.

For professionals considering relocation with their families, the island offers schools, daycare services and a welcoming community within a compact geographical area.

02About the Role

As a specialist in endocrinology, you will have a broad and varied clinical role, assessing, treating and following patients with a range of endocrine and metabolic conditions.

The position requires a physician with broad specialist competence who is comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for clinical assessments and treatment decisions.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders
  • Management of conditions within areas such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis and calcium metabolism, pituitary and adrenal disorders
  • Evaluation and follow-up of patients with both common and more complex endocrine conditions
  • Providing specialist consultations and clinical guidance when needed
  • Working independently while being an active part of the wider medical team
  • Close collaboration with colleagues across the medical department and other relevant specialties
  • Contributing specialist expertise to the continued development of the service

03A Broad and Independent Specialist Role

As the healthcare organization serves the island's population, we are looking for an endocrinologist with a broad clinical profile who feels confident managing a varied patient population.

You should be comfortable making independent clinical decisions while also valuing close collaboration with colleagues. The endocrinology service works within a smaller team, with close cooperation with the wider medical department and other healthcare professionals.

The position therefore suits a specialist who appreciates both professional autonomy and the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across different areas of internal medicine.

04Requirements

We are looking for a specialist who:

  • Holds an EU-recognized qualification in endocrinology
  • Has broad clinical competence within endocrinology
  • Has experience in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of endocrine and metabolic conditions
  • Is confident working independently and taking responsibility for clinical decisions
  • Has a broad and flexible approach to specialist work
  • Enjoys working in a smaller team with close multidisciplinary and cross-specialty collaboration
  • Has strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
  • Communicates well in English and is motivated to learn Swedish

05Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Broad specialist role: Work with a varied range of endocrine and metabolic conditions.
  • Professional autonomy: Take an independent role while having close collaboration with colleagues across the medical department.
  • Close-knit environment: Become part of a smaller team where your specialist expertise makes a tangible contribution.
  • Nordic island lifestyle: Enjoy a safe, family-friendly community surrounded by nature and the sea.

06What Dignus Medical Offers You

Relocating to another country is a major decision. We support you throughout the process, from first contact until you are established in your new position.

We offer:

  • Personal and ongoing support from your dedicated recruiter
  • Assistance with authorization and specialist recognition when required
  • Support throughout the relocation process
  • Assistance related to accommodation and practical relocation matters
  • Support for accompanying family members
  • Access to language training with a private tutor via Teams or Skype

07Take the Next Step in Your Career

If you are a specialist in endocrinology looking for a broad clinical role with professional responsibility, close collaboration and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within a smaller healthcare setting, this could be the right next step for you.

Here, you can combine your specialist expertise with life in a unique Nordic island community and become an important part of a close and collaborative medical environment.

Apply today or contact us to learn more about the position and life on this unique Nordic island.
