Product Marketing Engineer (m/w/d)

For an internationally recognised manufacturer of precision motors and innovative drive solutions with Japanese roots, we are looking for a Product Marketing Engineer(m/w/d) to strengthen its European operations. In this role, you will work at the intersection of engineering, sales and international project management, bringing together customer requirements in Europe and technical expertise from Japan. You will play a key role in developing customised solutions and supporting new products from initial samples through to serial production, working closely with customers across a range of industries.

01Tasks

• Provide technical support to the sales team in response to customer enquiries

• Evaluate customer requirements for customised products and develop suitable technical proposals in cooperation with the engineering team in Japan

• Coordinate product launches from functional samples through B-samples and C-samples to serial production

• Act as the technical interface between customers’ engineering teams and the engineering team in Japan

• Coordinate technical discussions and regular online meetings with customers and colleagues in Japan

• Participate in customer visits alongside the sales team

• Support initial testing of returned products in quality claim cases and contribute to 8D reports

• Help expand local R&D capabilities, including laboratory and testing equipment

• Benchmark competitor products in cooperation with the engineering team in Japan

• Support and participate in trade fairs

02Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering

• Knowledge of BLDC and stepper motors is highly desirable

• Experience in customised product development, project launches or similar technical projects

• Process-oriented approach; knowledge of FMEA is an advantage

• Fluent English; basic Japanese or German language skills are advantageous

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Business Central is an advantage

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in intercultural teams

• Willingness to travel internationally, including business trips and training lasting up to two weeks
