Do you enjoy combining engineering, practical problem-solving and improvements on the production floor? At Quintus Technologies in Västerås, you will help develop the facilities, equipment and technical conditions behind the assembly of advanced high-pressure systems.

01About the role

Quintus is strengthening its production engineering function as production volumes grow. You will work with developing and optimizing workshop layouts, managing technical equipment and investments, and ensuring safe and efficient assembly operations. This is a hands-on engineering role with varied contacts, both internally and with external contractors.

02Your responsibilities

As a Production Engineer at Quintus Technologies, you will play an important role in developing and maintaining our production facilities, ensuring that our workshop, equipment and infrastructure support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

You will work closely with production, engineering and external partners to identify improvement opportunities, develop technical solutions and ensure that each customer project has the right conditions for successful assembly.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and optimizing workshop layouts, production facilities and infrastructure to improve efficiency, capacity and safety.
  • Planning and managing equipment investments, from identifying needs and evaluating solutions to purchasing, installation and commissioning.
  • Preparing assembly stations for customer projects, including layouts, scaffolding, utilities and lifting arrangements.
  • Ensuring the availability, maintenance and certification of machinery, tools and lifting equipment, while coordinating external contractors and inspections.
  • Conducting risk assessments, developing technical instructions and supporting safe working methods, including complex manufacturing operations.

You will also contribute to workshop capacity assessments, support colleagues in technical matters and collaborate closely with the Production Developer on continuous improvement initiatives.

The role offers a great combination of hands-on problem-solving, technical development and project coordination, with plenty of opportunities to influence how our production facilities evolve.

03Who are we looking for?

We believe you have a strong technical background and enjoy working in a production environment where you can combine practical problem-solving with technical development.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant technical education in production engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in production engineering, industrial facilities, machinery, maintenance, tooling or technical investments.
  • A good understanding of workplace safety, risk assessments and equipment-related requirements.
  • Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.

As a person, you are structured, proactive and solution-oriented. You enjoy taking responsibility, managing several activities simultaneously and finding practical solutions to technical challenges.

You are a strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with people across different functions, from production staff and engineering to purchasing and external contractors. With a positive and constructive approach, you build good relationships and contribute to moving projects and improvements forward.

Additional experience we value:

  • Experience with lifting equipment, overhead cranes, third-party inspections or certified tools.
  • Experience managing investment projects, facility layouts or maintenance systems.
  • Experience in complex industrial assembly or large engineered products.

04Why Quintus Technologies?

You will work close to the technology and the people who build it, with the opportunity to shape practical improvements in a growing production environment. Quintus combines advanced engineering, international customers and a collaborative, down-to-earth culture.
