Job description

About the role

Full text from the employer, as published on Arbeitnow, arranged into sections. Nothing added or removed.

01About SANOVIO

SANOVIO makes buying and selling medical supplies easier. On our AI platform, hospitals, purchasing groups and suppliers work together in one place instead of juggling emails, Excel lists and disconnected systems. Hospitals can buy together, and suppliers reach that bundled demand more easily.

Our software, SANOVIO aOS, uses AI agents to take over the tedious work: cleaning up product data, comparing requests and offers, bundling demand and keeping orders on track. It connects to the systems our customers already use.

When needed, SANOVIO Fulfillment also takes care of the physical side: finding manufacturers worldwide, quality checks, financing, warehousing and delivery. The goal is simple: less admin work, and more time and money for patient care.

02About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you are the bridge between our customers and our product, on both sides of the platform: healthcare providers and purchasing groups on one side, suppliers on the other. At its core, this role is about talking to customers. You work directly with procurement, logistics and IT teams, understand how they really work and make SANOVIO work inside their world: you connect our platform to their ERP, materials management and supplier systems, untangle their data and processes, and ship the solutions that make them successful.

This role is for builders who are just as comfortable in a customer workshop as in a code editor. Whether you studied business informatics, industrial engineering, computer science or mathematics, or bring experience in technical product management, product engineering or software engineering with a strong design sense: what matters is that you love solving messy real-world problems end to end. We hire for skills, not for degrees.

03Tasks

  • Talking to our customers every day: leading workshops with procurement managers, IT departments and suppliers, and being a trusted partner for our customers

  • Owning customer implementations end to end, from kickoff and process analysis to go-live and continuous improvement

  • Analyzing and redesigning procurement processes on both sides, from requisition and ordering at healthcare providers to order handling at suppliers, and uncovering optimization potential

  • Designing, building and running integrations between SANOVIO and our customers' ERP systems (such as SAP), materials management and supplier systems

  • Onboarding and harmonizing customer data (e.g. article master data, catalogs, order histories) and building robust data pipelines and mappings

  • Configuring and extending our AI agents for customer-specific workflows such as data matching and order automation

  • Prototyping and shipping customer-facing workflows, tools and dashboards with a strong focus on usability for non-technical users

  • Bringing customer insights back into the product and turning recurring solutions into product features together with our engineering team and the founders

04Communication and customer focus

  • You enjoy talking to customers: you listen carefully, ask the right questions and explain technical topics in plain language

  • Native-level German and very good English, so you can confidently lead conversations and workshops with our customers

  • Confident with all kinds of stakeholders, from procurement managers to IT departments

  • Willing to work on-site in Munich and to travel regularly to customers in Germany and Switzerland

05General Profile

  • Degree in Business Informatics (Wirtschaftsinformatik), Industrial Engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen), Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar field. Skills matter more to us than your degree, so equivalent hands-on experience counts just as much

  • Strong process understanding: you enjoy mapping, analyzing and improving business processes such as procure-to-pay or supply chain

  • High ownership, structured problem-solving and the drive to deliver fast in ambiguous environments

  • This is a junior role: a great fit if you're a recent graduate or have up to five years of professional experience. Internships and working student jobs count too

06Technical skillset

  • First hands-on experience with system integrations and interfaces (e.g. REST APIs, webhooks, EDI or file-based interfaces), whether from work, internships or university projects

  • Solid coding skills (e.g. TypeScript/JavaScript or Python) and good SQL and data skills

  • Product and design affinity: you care about UX and can turn complex workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces. Experience with Figma or building UIs is a plus

07Bonus if you

  • Worked at a startup or software company focused on SAP/ERP, integration platforms, process mining or procurement software (internships and working student jobs count too)

  • Have first experience as a Technical PM, Product Engineer, Solutions or Implementation Engineer, or ERP consultant

  • Have built with LLMs or AI agents, e.g. for data extraction or matching

  • Bring domain knowledge in healthcare, hospitals, procurement or supply chain

  • Can share a portfolio, GitHub or case studies of projects you shipped

08Benefits

  • A steep learning curve: you learn integration work, process consulting and product building at the same time, working closely with the founders

  • Real ownership and direct impact on how we work with our customers

  • Great central office in Munich with regular team events and dinners

  • Monthly wellness budget

  • Access to the AI and productivity tools you need

  • Regular customer visits across Germany and Switzerland

  • Compensation package including cash, performance bonus and shares

09Step 1: Intro call

Casual intro call to get to know each other, introduce SANOVIO and talk about your experience.

10Step 2: Case study

A practical case based on a real-world challenge from our platform, for example how you would connect a hospital or a supplier to SANOVIO and redesign its ordering process. You'll present your approach to the team, just like you would to a customer.

11Step 3: Personal fit

Meet one of our co-founders to get a feel for our culture and working style.

12Step 4: Offer & reference checks

If we see a great fit, you will get an offer, including a competitive compensation package. We'll also ask for two to three references.
