01About Us
At Axle Energy, we’re building the infrastructure that will underpin the decarbonised energy system. Our software moves energy usage to times when electricity is cheap and green, by controlling vehicle charging, heating systems, and home batteries. We control hundreds of thousands of energy assets.
We’re building in a legacy industry and moving gigawatt-hours of electrons in the real world, but we operate at lightning speed, and we’re growing the team to meet customer demand.
We’re proud to be supported by world-leading investors, including Accel and Energize Capital.

02About the role
This role is for someone who can drive growth, generate demand, and build a repeatable marketing engine as Axle scales. You'll be our first Growth Marketing hire and be responsible for shaping our growth marketing strategy from the ground up, experimenting with channels, campaigns and messaging to find what works and scale it.
You’ll help Axle reach the right customers, bring our technology to market, and turn awareness into measurable commercial growth for our direct to consumer business.
We’re looking for someone who combines commercial instinct with analytical rigour and creative thinking. You’ll move quickly, take ownership, and work closely with our commercial, product and leadership teams to turn ambitious growth targets into results.
03What you will be doing
Building and executing targeted campaigns that reach priority audiences, generate qualified leads and contribute directly to user growth.
Developing positioning, messaging, customer segmentation and launch strategies for new propositions, markets and customer segments.
Testing and growing marketing channels, partnerships and campaigns to identify repeatable, cost-effective ways to acquire customers.
Translating complex energy and technology concepts into clear messaging and content that resonates with our target audiences.
Tracking acquisition, conversion and pipeline performance, using data and experimentation to improve marketing effectiveness and maximise commercial impact.
Manage our community engagement in social forums (e.g. Facebook groups, Reddit etc.)
04What we’re looking for
Experience in a B2C growth marketing role.
You're data-driven but practical. You run experiments and learn from the results, but also know when there isn’t enough data and you need to trust your judgement.
You use AI tools to work smarter across marketing, from researching audiences and analysing data to building reports, automating workflows and creating content.
You’re scrappy and hands-on. You test ideas quickly, find ways to make a budget go further and get stuck into whatever needs doing.
You’re comfortable building from scratch. This is our first growth marketing hire, so you’ll be shaping our approach, tools and processes as you go.
05Nice to have
Experience with product analytics tools such as PostHog.
Experience with paid social, referral programmes or community-led growth.
06Benefits
