01We are an applied AI lab building end-to-end software agents
We're the makers of Devin, the first AI software engineer.
Our team is extremely talent-dense. Among our founding team, we have world-class competitive programmers, former founders, and leaders from companies at the cutting edge of AI including Scale AI, Palantir, Cursor, Waymo, Tesla, Lunchclub, Modal, Google DeepMind, and Nuro.
Building Devin is just the first step-our hardest challenges still lie ahead. If you’re excited to solve some of the world’s biggest problems and build AI that can reason on real-world tasks, apply to join us.
02About The Role
We are hiring a Recruiting Sourcer to join our EMEA Talent team, based in London. This is an in-office role.
You will own the top of the funnel for hiring across the region, partnering closely with recruiters and hiring managers to find, engage and convert exceptional people who aren't looking for us yet.
You will be expected to operate with urgency, creativity and high judgment. You will not simply run searches. You will build our outbound engine: mapping markets, mining our networks, showing up where great people are and turning cold prospects into engaged candidates.
The ideal person is a curious, resourceful hunter who measures success by pipeline quality, not volume, and knows how to create momentum in ambiguous, fast-moving markets.
03What You’ll Do
Own outbound sourcing across our EMEA hiring priorities, with a focus on technical roles.
Build deep talent maps across enterprise software, AI, developer tools, cloud, infrastructure and high-growth technology companies.
Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to calibrate on profiles early, then iterate quickly based on feedback and conversion data.
Use the full sourcing toolkit (LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, Boolean and X-ray search, GitHub, communities) and go beyond it with creative strategies that reach people others miss.
Run referral mining: work systematically through our team's, investors' and alumni networks to uncover warm paths to top candidates.
Plan, host and attend recruiting events, meetups and networking events, and turn them into qualified pipeline.
Write sharp, personalised outreach that represents Cognition's story with clarity, credibility and energy, and keep testing what works.
Engage passive candidates and run first-call qualifying screens, handing recruiters warm, qualified, well-briefed candidates.
Track and report on top-of-funnel metrics (response rates, pass-through rates, source of hire) and use them to keep raising pipeline quality.
Build and maintain talent pools in Ashby for recurring and future roles.
Work closely with international talent leadership to share what works and build scalable sourcing muscle across EMEA.
04What We’re Looking For
Proven sourcing experience at high-growth technology companies, ideally with a focus on technical roles.
Strong understanding of enterprise software, SaaS, AI, infrastructure, developer tools or cloud markets.
Mastery of modern sourcing tools and techniques (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox), and the curiosity to keep adopting new ones, especially AI-powered tools.
Confidence running first-call qualifying screens and pitching the opportunity to passive candidates.
Creative instincts: you find candidates through communities, events, content, referrals and networks, not just databases.
Outreach that gets replies: concise, personalised and compelling.
Experience sourcing across multiple EMEA markets, with an understanding of local market dynamics.
A data-driven approach: you know your funnel numbers and use them to improve.
Strong partnership skills with the confidence to push back on and calibrate with recruiters and hiring managers.
High agency, high ownership and strong attention to detail.
Comfort operating in a fast-changing, 0 to 1 environment.
A builder mindset: you improve the system while delivering the work.
Based in, or willing to relocate to, London, and comfortable working from our London office.
05What Makes You Stand Out
You have sourced for early teams in new international markets.
You have sourced for frontier AI, developer tools, infrastructure, cloud or enterprise software companies.
You have built or run a referral programme or recruiting event series that led directly to hires.
You already have a strong network in the London and European tech ecosystem.
You have built your own sourcing workflows or automations using AI tools.
You care deeply about quality, not just volume.
