Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

02About the team

As a Sales Manager at Stripe, you will play an instrumental role in fueling Stripe’s growth through initiating, acquiring and ramping Stripe’s key SMB and Commercial prospects. We are looking for a proactive leader who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, managing high-performing teams and solving problems with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have experience managing a technology sales team, and possess first-class analytical, communication and relationship-building skills.

04You will

  • Recruit, develop and lead a team of Account Executives who focus on SMBs and Mid-market businesses
  • Work with senior leadership to develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team, and manage day-to-day operations with a focus on performance against key sales metrics
  • Be accountable for acquiring and ramping prospective Stripe users
  • Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and value-based sales skills
  • Inspire, motivate and enable development of team members to promote career growth and impact for Stripe
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally across the organization to help shape Stripe’s products and solutions to meet customer needs
  • Play a personal and direct role in building customer relationships, up to C-level.

05We’re looking for someone who has

  • 5+ years of relevant, revenue management experience, with at least 2+ years of people management experience or mentoring capacity
  • Experience leading sales in an early stage, high-growth technology environment
  • Ability to hire, train and coach a high-performance sales team
  • Ability to build relationships with strategic client and industry thought leaders
  • Demonstrated passion for SMBs and Midmarket businesses
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms

06Nice to haves

  • Prior experience forecasting and managing a high growth commercial business
  • Prior experience running complex sales cycles, ideally with both smb and commercial size companies
  • Prior experience leading a team in an office outside of the company headquarters
  • Prior experience in the payments industry and/or fintech
