01About 9fin

9fin is the AI platform powering global debt markets, the world’s largest asset class at over $145 trillion.

Debt markets are vast, global, and mission-critical, yet still run on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin replaces this broken infrastructure with a single platform that centralises proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows across global markets.

Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best-in-class retention driven by deep workflow adoption.

We’re at a defining inflection point. With proven product-market fit and strong, global market pull, 9fin is accelerating toward becoming the category-defining platform for debt markets worldwide.

02About the Role

We’re looking for a Sales Director to lead the volume end of our Sales organization in EMEA. Tiers 2 and 3 make up the broad base of our client portfolio: a large number of banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms and advisors, with smaller account sizes than our Tier 1 and strategic clients. Retention, expansion and coverage at scale drive growth here.

You’ll lead a team of 6-8 Account Managers, each owning a book of Tier 2 and Tier 3 clients, and a small number of Account Executives winning new clients in the same tiers. You’ll own renewals and net retention for the segment, build a repeatable operating rhythm across a high volume of accounts, and grow a team within our newly tiered sales organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the Head of Sales, EMEA & APAC. You’ll combine coaching with disciplined pipeline and forecast management, and you’ll be accountable for how your team performs against its number.

03What you’ll work on

Every day is different, but here’s an example of the kind of things you’ll work on:

  • Lead the Tier 2 and Tier 3 EMEA team to consistent, forecastable delivery quarter over quarter.

  • Own segment net retention and expansion, and make sure every account has a renewal plan well ahead of its date.

  • Coach and manage a team of 6-8 Account Managers, and Account Executive, through weekly pipeline, renewal and forecast reviews.

  • Set coverage models and account prioritization so your team spends its time where the revenue and risk are.

  • Run a clear operating cadence across the segment, including book and territory planning, account plans and a shared methodology.

  • Recruit, onboard and develop the team, including training on demos, usage analysis and client reviews.

  • Manage performance through structured reviews, goal setting and development plans.

  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Enablement, Rev Ops, Marketing and Product to remove barriers to growth and bring client feedback into the roadmap.

  • Work with the Head of Sales, EMEA & APAC and the US team to keep handovers, tiering and territories consistent globally.

  • Keep accurate CRM records and forecasts, and use the data to coach and make decisions.

04About You

This role will be a great fit if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience leading account management or commercial teams, ideally in capital markets, fintech or data and SaaS.

  • Have a track record of managing high-volume books and delivering retention and growth across them.

  • Are comfortable owning a team number and can show how you’ve consistently hit it.

  • Are a proactive coach, not a reactive manager. You share process, help your team plan ahead and don’t wait for forecasts to slip.

  • Have run a disciplined cadence of pipeline reviews, forecasting and account planning.

  • Have a good knowledge of financial markets and the ability to build relationships across the buy side, sell side and advisory community.

  • Are comfortable with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and use data to drive decisions.

  • Build trust across a matrixed commercial organization and partner effectively with Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Enablement, Rev Ops and Product.

  • Thrive in ambitious, fast-moving environments where expectations are high, opportunities are abundant, and no two days look the same.

05Our benefits

We’re a scaling start up, and we enjoy sharing our success, when the company succeeds, we always reinvest that in our people. We also offer huge amounts of responsibility, an abundance of opportunity for growth and a platform to truly excel.

06Financial & Insurance

  • Competitive Salary (our salary bands are benchmarked at the top end of the market)

  • Equity options

  • Pension (your minimum contributions are 4% with 9fin matching up to 7%)

  • Private Medical Insurance

  • Paid sick leave with Income Protection for long periods of illness

  • Group Life Assurance

  • Season Ticket Loan & Cycle to Work schemes

07Time off

  • 25 holiday days per year

  • Local public holidays (with the ability to exchange them for alternative days)

  • Work abroad for up to 3 months a year

  • 1 month paid sabbatical after 5 years of service

  • Enhanced parental leave & flexible working arrangements available

08Growth & Culture

  • Professional learning and development budget

  • Bi-annual team socials

  • Summer and Winter company social events

09Hybrid Policy

9fin is a hybrid company, and the office is a regular part of how we work. From January 2027, all employees will work from their designated 9fin office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Some teams may be asked to be in the office more often, where the nature of their work calls for it. For the rest of the week, you may work from wherever works best for you and your team. Your Talent Partner will share hybrid working details for this role.

109fin is an equal opportunities employer

At 9fin we are dedicated to building and promoting a fair and inclusive workplace where everyone can reach their full potential and truly belong. We recognize that building diverse teams enables a more creative and productive environment. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be who we’re looking for, either for this role, or perhaps another.
