01Your next mission

Shield critical radar innovations from sophisticated threats. Lock down our infrastructure, keeping our airspace defence rock-solid.

As our Technical Information Security Officer, you lead the technical defence protecting our defence-grade radar systems and intellectual property. You partner closely with IT, DevOps, and Development to design controls, roll out Zero Trust, and secure emerging AI workflows. You report directly to our Head of Information Security (CISO), acting as the central technical bridge between IT and security. Your work ensures our technology stays safe from state-level threats while operating in critical environments.

02What you'll do

  • IT collaboration and infrastructure: Collaborate closely with the Head of IT and the team. Design, implement, and optimise infrastructure controls like IAM, PAM, and endpoint protections.

  • Zero Trust execution: Drive the technical rollout of our corporate Zero Trust architecture. Enforce continuous verification across systems, cloud environments, and internal networks.

  • AI security and governance: Establish secure boundaries and technical governance for internal AI technologies. Enforce cryptographic data isolation and role-based access for RAG architectures.

  • Emerging threat mitigation: Spot and neutralise AI threat vectors like prompt injections and automated exploits. Guard company intellectual property against unintended exposure via public models.

  • Defence and radar connectivity: Build multi-layered security measures for remote radar management and data links. Protect radar systems deployed and operating within active conflict zones.

  • Incident response and monitoring: Serve as primary technical liaison for our Managed Security Services Provider. Lead technical investigations into complex security incidents alongside internal teams.

03What you bring

  • BA/MSc or HBO degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, Cybersecurity, or similar

  • Over 5 years of hands-on technical experience in Information Security, IT infrastructure, or Network Security

  • Deep technical knowledge and proven experience configuring and managing modern security tools and architectures, including Next-Gen Firewalls, XDR/EDR, SIEM, IAM, and PAM solutions

  • Strong understanding of modern cloud environments, API management, and the implementation of continuous verification and Zero Trust principles

  • Specific expertise in addressing the double-edged nature of AI in security, with a strong grasp of safe GenAI usage controls, LLM vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10 for LLMs), and data-residency isolation

  • Experience operating in defense, military, or critical infrastructure environments, with a strong understanding of the specialized protections required against state-sponsored threat actors

04Nice to have

  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and integrating automated security testing into DevOps/SSDLC pipelines

  • Agile and proactive work ethic with strong analytical skills

  • Highly Desirable: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

  • Highly Desirable: CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)

  • Desirable: Zero Trust / Micro-segmentation (e.g., GDSA, Forrester)

  • Desirable: DevSecOps / Offensive Security (e.g., OSCP, GWEB)

  • Office based role (remote work possible). No travelling required

05What we offer

  • Working for a Great Place to Work® certified company;

  • Comprehensive pension plan;

  • Commuting allowance;

  • 30 days of paid holiday leave (with the possibility to buy 3 additional days);

  • Opportunities to develop your skills even further through training and certifications;

  • High quality laptop/desktop, monitor, headphones, and any other equipment necessary for your role

  • An international team of 30+ nationalities, full of high performance colleagues you can exchange experiences with and learn from. As well as having a lot of fun in our social events and Friday drinks!

Robin Radar is a defence technology leader in detecting, tracking and classifying drones and other small airborne objects. Our radars and software protect military sites, borders and critical infrastructure from drone threats, and also help prevent bird strikes in aviation and reduce the impact of wind farms on wildlife. Our work shows up at defence and security sites, airports and wind farms around the world.

We're one of the top 10 fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands, with a crew of bright minds across 30+ nationalities. Growth doesn't mean we lose the plot, eyes on the skies, feet on the ground. Our values keep us grounded: WE TRUST. WE OWN IT. WE AIM HIGH.

Want to work on next-level radar tech, solve real problems, and never have to pretend your job has meaning? You'll fit right in, we're saving you a seat.
