01Role Summary
Our client is seeking a senior full-stack developer to join a cross-functional team responsible for developing and enhancing Marketing Automation solutions. The role has clear ownership of the development and maintenance of services, integrations, email templates, landing pages, and personalized content components. You will collaborate closely with platform owners and business stakeholders to deliver a consistent, accessible, user-friendly, and high-performing experience.
As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical guidance, share knowledge, and help improve engineering practices and solution design. Development will be driven by business requirements, non-functional requirements, and defined acceptance criteria.
02Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain frontend and backend services supporting the Marketing Automation environment.
- Create responsive and accessible email templates, landing pages, and personalized content blocks.
- Design and implement integrations and APIs between the Marketing Automation platform and surrounding systems.
- Develop and test SOAP and REST APIs, including opportunities for API test automation.
- Use customer and campaign data to support personalization, segmentation, and relevant targeted communications.
- Optimize application and interface performance while ensuring usability and accessibility.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, defect resolution, logging, and monitoring, and introduce test automation where appropriate.
- Translate business requirements, non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria into maintainable technical solutions.
- Manage source code, continuous integration and delivery workflows, and backlog-related engineering activities.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor colleagues, share expertise, and contribute to the continuous improvement of team practices and solutions.
03Technical Stack & Requirements
- Frontend: JavaScript ES6 or later, HTML5, CSS3, and React or Vue.js.
- Backend and integration: Server-side JavaScript, system integrations, API design and implementation, REST, and SOAP.
- Data: SQL, including writing and executing SQL scripts.
- Engineering tools: Git, Webpack or equivalent build tooling, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and backlog management.
- UX and design: Fundamental UX design knowledge and experience with Figma or an equivalent design tool.
- Ways of working: Strong experience with Lean-Agile delivery methods; SAFe experience is preferred.
- Advantageous platform experience: Adobe Campaign Classic v8 or another Marketing Automation platform, including campaign management, segmentation, personalization, content blocks, email templates, and landing pages.
- Advantageous test automation: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Jest, as well as automated API testing.
- Additional advantageous knowledge: System-level security requirements, server configuration, troubleshooting, logging, and monitoring.
04Qualifications & Experience
The assignment requires 4-8 years of full-stack development experience covering both frontend and backend engineering. Candidates must have documented JavaScript experience and practical knowledge of React or Vue.js, together with a track record of delivering responsive, accessible, user-friendly, and performance-optimized interfaces. Experience designing integrations between Marketing Automation platforms and other systems is required, as is experience developing and testing SOAP and REST APIs.
Strong SQL knowledge, modern web development experience, source control proficiency, and familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices are expected. Experience with Marketing Automation platforms, Adobe Campaign Classic v8, frontend or API test automation, system security, and operational troubleshooting is advantageous. Certifications in web development or Marketing Automation and previous experience in banking or financial services are also beneficial.
The successful consultant should be able to work independently while contributing effectively to a cross-functional team. The role requires a structured and proactive approach, strong analytical capability, an understanding of complex flows and dependencies, and the ability to communicate technical recommendations clearly. Senior-level technical leadership, constructive challenge of existing practices, and active knowledge sharing are important aspects of the assignment. Professional fluency in both Swedish and English is required.
