About the role
Full text from the employer, as published on Arbetsförmedlingen (JobTech), arranged into sections. Nothing added or removed.
Mat4Green Tech AB (M4GT) is a Chalmers University spin-out based in Gothenburg. We develop and commercialise closed-loop processes for recovering and refining metals from industrial materials, with our own lab and pilot facilities in Gothenburg. We are now looking for a chemist who will take hands-on ownership of our recycling and purification work.
About the role
You will run and develop hydrometallurgical and electrochemical processes in our lab and pilot facility, from leaching and solvent extraction to electrolysis and final purification. You plan, build and manage your own projects: you define what equipment and materials are needed, find and negotiate with suppliers, carry purchases through, and keep the work documented and safe. You work closely with our technical team and take the process forward step by step towards industrial scale.
What we are looking for
- A Master's degree or higher in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field
- - A solid understanding of process chemistry, including solvent extraction and electrolysis, and of safe handling of the chemicals involved
- - Experience in planning, writing up and managing technical projects
- - A structured and efficient way of working, with the ability to adapt when conditions change
- - The ability to find, negotiate and purchase the equipment and materials needed to carry out the job
- - Fluent English; Swedish is a merit
What we offer
A key role in a technically strong team with close ties to Chalmers, a high degree of ownership, and the opportunity to take a process from the lab to industrial scale.
Application
