Are you an experienced Solution Architect or Software Architect passionate about cloud-native platforms, distributed systems, and engineering excellence? Do you enjoy defining architectural standards, guiding development teams, and shaping scalable digital solutions?

Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to drive architectural strategy and support the evolution of modern digital services and cloud-based engineering platforms.

About the Role

You will provide architectural leadership across multiple product and platform teams, helping establish secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient software solutions.

A key part of the assignment is driving the architectural evolution of an implementation framework and its associated engineering practices. You will define reference architectures, technical standards, and architectural guidelines while supporting teams in adopting modern cloud-native technologies and DevSecOps practices.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor to engineering teams, product leaders, platform teams, and enterprise architects, ensuring that technology decisions align with long-term business and platform strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the architectural evolution of software frameworks and associated engineering practices.
• Define and maintain reference architectures, technical standards, and architectural guidelines.
• Guide engineering teams in designing scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
• Promote standardisation, reusable components, automation, and platform-first approaches.
• Drive the adoption of cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps, and modern engineering practices.
• Facilitate architecture reviews and contribute to strategic technology decisions.
• Provide architectural guidance across multiple product and platform teams.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Platform Teams, and Enterprise Architects.
• Ensure security, compliance, and operational requirements are incorporated into architectural solutions.
• Mentor software engineers and architects and promote a strong engineering culture.
• Support architecture transformation initiatives and continuous improvements in developer experience and engineering productivity.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or software architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and modern cloud architectures.
• Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, integration patterns, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Experience defining security and compliance requirements within cloud environments.
• Good understanding of observability, monitoring, logging, and operational excellence.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience with Platform Engineering and Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
• AWS certifications, such as Solutions Architect Associate or Professional.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security, governance, and risk management.
• Experience leading architecture transformation and organisational change.
• Understanding of developer experience and engineering productivity initiatives.
