About the role Legora is building the AI-native workspace for legal work, with lawyers. Our Legal Engineers are lawyers who help leading legal departments turn AI into real change in how they work. France is one of our fastest-growing markets, and we have just opened our Paris office. We are looking for a Team Lead to lead our Legal Engineering team for in-house legal teams in France. This is a player-coach role: you will lead and develop a team of Legal Engineers while personally running our most strategic corporate and public-sector engagements. You will report to the Director of Legal Engineering, South EMEA.

02What you'll be doing

• Leading the team day to day: priorities, 1:1s, coaching, quality review, capacity and escalations.

• Hiring, onboarding and developing Legal Engineers, and setting the standard of excellence for the team.

• Personally leading high-value engagements with General Counsels, legal leadership teams and legal operations, from pilots with key business units to department-wide adoption across groups and subsidiaries.

• Turning commercial priorities into execution with our Go-To-Market and Engagement teams: pilots that convert, rollouts that stick, renewals and expansions.

• Helping legal departments build the business case for AI: ROI, efficiency, risk, and the impact on each function, from contracts to compliance.

• Turning what works into reusable methods: playbooks, templates, French-language content and training.

• Being the voice of French in-house teams inside Legora, bringing evidenced product feedback to our Product team.

• Representing Legora in the French legal market, on AI and the future of the legal function.

03What you bring

• A strong legal background, typically 8+ years of experience, including senior in-house roles in a large organisation (for example head of a legal team, senior counsel or legal operations lead).

• Proven people management: you have hired, coached, given hard feedback and managed performance.

• Commercial acumen: you understand how legal departments are funded, how they prove value to the business and how they buy technology.

• Credibility with General Counsels and their leadership teams, and the ability to align legal, IT, procurement and the business.

• Real fluency with generative AI: you use it, you test it, you know where it fails and you can explain why.

• Structure without bureaucracy, and the energy to build in a fast-growing team.

• Native or bilingual French and fluent English.

04Strong pluses

• Experience leading legal transformation, legal operations or a technology implementation in a legal department.

• Experience in legal tech, legal AI or consulting to legal functions.

• Public-sector or regulated-industry experience.
