HMS stands for Hardware Meets Software and we work to make the world more connected, productive, and sustainable. Our industrial communication products enable millions of machines, such as robots, drives, and air-conditioning systems, to connect with software and information systems, a necessity for meeting future demands for energy efficiency and sustainability.

We are now strengthening our Order Planning team and are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planner who combines hands-on planning expertise with a passion for analysis and continuous improvement.

Would you like to improve product availability and build reliable supply flows in an international environment? In this role, you will turn data into decisions, proactively address supply risks, and develop planning processes that make a difference to our customers and business.

01About the Role

As a Supply Chain Planner in our team, you will report to the Planning Manager. You will work closely with suppliers, production sites, logistics centers, and internal stakeholders to balance product availability with inventory costs and obsolescence risk.

You will combine operational planning with analytical work and long-term improvements. You will improve planning performance, address supply challenges, and drive cross-functional improvements while sharing expertise and supporting fellow planners.

02Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer demand and forecasts, firm planned purchases and maintain delivery schedules.
  • Evaluate and improve planning parameters, lead times, safety stock, and order quantities.
  • Identify supply risks and emerging shortages, drive mitigation and recovery plans, and escalate structural issues when needed.
  • Lead root-cause analysis of recurring delays, shortages, and excess inventory, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and followed up.
  • Monitor supplier confirmations, shipping schedules, carrier performance, and inbound deliveries, and optimize transport modes and delivery plans with relevant partners.
  • Proactively communicate supply risks, performance and recommended decisions across Logistics Centers and other stakeholders.
  • Drive improvements in planning processes where the ERP system is central
  • Lead or represent Order Planning in cross-functional supply chain and logistics projects, and coach planners by sharing expertise and best practices.

03About You

We’re looking for a structured, proactive, curious and analytical planner who takes ownership and drives continuous improvement. You are comfortable balancing daily priorities with long-term development and influencing decisions across functions.

You bring:

  • Relevant education or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
  • Solid experience in supply chain planning, production planning and/or operational purchasing.
  • Hands-on ERP experience and a solid understanding of planning parameters, replenishment, lead times, safety stock, and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and translate data into clear recommendations and actions.
  • Experience driving process improvements and collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to improve supply performance.
  • Advanced Excel skills and practical experience using AI and other digital tools to analyze data and support decision-making.
  • You communicate effectively in Swedish and English with both internal and external stakeholders, locally and internationally.

04Why Join Us?

  • Take a central role in a global team and improve product availability, inbound supply reliability and planning processes.
  • Work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Be part of a culture that values continuous improvement.
  • Be part of a fast-growing company with the ability to adapt quickly and turn ideas into action.
