Are you a Verification Engineer looking for your next opportunity within product development? Join our growing and dedicated V&V team, where you will play a key role to ensure that our developed systems fulfil customer expectations.

We are looking for two Verification Engineers to join our Verification and Validation (V&V) team within R&D. The V&V team is responsible for testing, verification and validation of systems both during product development and within the product care process. The systems entail hardware, software and often a consumable, e.g. a column for separation.

As a driven Verification Engineer with a technical interest, you ensure product quality and efficiency throughout the product life cycle. You will work as a test and verification lead within the project teams to develop new instruments. The role involves networking with internal stakeholders and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest quality products and processes.

Improvements to our existing product portfolio are also an important part of the role. You will independently run small projects and improvement initiatives, taking a hands-on approach to implement changes that enhance our products.

Key responsibilities:
  • Perform, report and lead our test, verification and validation activities for systems which entail hardware, software and consumables.

  • Define and evaluate system requirements and the corresponding test cases.

  • Conduct technical investigations, including risk assessments and root-cause analyses.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory guidelines.

  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement of processes and practices within V&V.

  • Collaborate with peers to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure timely delivery of tasks.

  • Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Education and Experience:
  • BSc/MSc in Systems, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar

  • Preferably 2+ years of experience within verification, validation or testing

  • Previous experience from product development or quality assurance

  • Experience in creating and maintaining plans

  • Experience as a verification, test or project lead

  • Experience in requirement management and risk management

  • Experience from a controlled business or good documentation practice from elsewhere

  • Knowledge in regulatory framework applicable for laboratory equipment (e.g Low Voltage Directive LVD and Machinery Directive MD) is a merit

Desired skills and qualities:
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and enjoy collaborating with others to achieve high-quality results.

  • You are a driven, independent and curious individual.

  • You have a technical interest and are comfortable with hands-on laboratory work.

  • You have a strong focus on quality and understand the importance of product life-cycle management.

  • You have a structured approach to your work.

  • You are fluent in both written and spoken English and Swedish.

What we offer:

Biotage offers an innovative, collaborative and productive work environment where you work and learn with stakeholders in regional marketing, R&D, supply chain, the global service team and customer support, to deliver the very best products and processes. As a valued Verification Engineer, you will be an essential part of Biotage R&D, liaising with and reporting to the Director of Verification & Validation, based at Biotage Headquarters in Uppsala, Sweden.

About Biotage:
