Job description

About the role

Full text from the employer, as published on Arbeitnow, arranged into sections. Nothing added or removed.

GRESB is the global sustainability intelligence standard for real assets. For over 15 years, real estate and infrastructure managers have reported to us, building a dataset of 150,000+ assets across more than 2,000 portfolios. Together with Asset Impact, which tracks emissions for over 300,000 physical assets and 77,000 companies, we’re turning that data into decision-grade intelligence for investors, lenders, index providers and regulators.

We’re building a new Client & Data Intelligence organization to showcase the value of the data to investors and develop new use cases within the ecosystem. It brings sales, product and data teams together under one leader, the Chief Client & Data Intelligence Officer. This role is the person who makes that organization run. The role is based out of Amsterdam.

01The Role

You’ll work directly with the Chief Client & Data Intelligence Officer as the strategist and operator at the center of a newly formed team. Your job is to keep decisions moving, teams connected and priority work getting finished, so the leadership team can focus on clients and growth.

It’s a role for someone who can shape a problem and then see it through. One week you might be building the business case for a new data product; the next you’re tightening the sales pipeline, preparing a board update and unblocking a delivery issue between product and engineering. You’ll move between sales enablement, product and data operations, and you’ll be trusted to run several projects at once without dropping any of them.

You’ll see the whole business, from client conversations to product decisions to the CEO’s agenda, and you’ll have influence over how a new organization works.

02What you will do

Strategy and priority projects

  • Lead the organization’s highest-priority initiatives end to end, for example pricing, our investor program, entry into new markets and maturing the data strategy
  • Frame the problem, build the analysis, align stakeholders and drive the work through to a decision and implementation
  • Bring a recommendation, not just options

Operating rhythm and decision-making

  • Run the team’s operating cadence: weekly deal desk, fortnightly product council and monthly business review
  • Own the decision log, so it’s always clear what was decided, by whom and what happens next
  • Spot blockers between sales, product and data teams early and clear them

Commercial operations and sales enablement

  • Own pricing and support deal structuring with the sales team
  • Keep pipeline and ARR reporting accurate and trusted, with one view across GRESB
  • Work with sales and product to make sure the team has what it needs to showcase the value of the data products

Reporting and communication

  • Build and run the monthly CEO dashboard and KPI reporting
  • Prepare senior leadership, board and client materials that are clear, concise and decision-ready
  • Act as the Chief Client & Data Intelligence Officer’s point of contact when they’re away

03What success looks like

In your first six months

  • The operating rhythm is running and people rely on it
  • The decision log is live and used
  • There’s one trusted ARR view across GRESB data products

By the end of your first year

  • At least two priority projects have been taken from problem to implemented decision
  • Leadership and board reporting runs on a predictable monthly cycle with little rework
  • Sales, product and data teams describe fewer handoff issues, and escalations get resolved faster

04Requirements

  • Around 6-10 years of experience
  • A grounding in top-tier management consulting or Big Four advisory, in strategy, sustainability, data or technology
  • Ideally, spent time at a sustainability data, ESG ratings, real asset or financial data business
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work well in a cross-functional, global environment.
  • Experience implementing AI or advanced analytics solutions within a commercial or sales environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM, data analytics, and visualization tools.
  • A working understanding of how data products are packaged, priced and sold

05How you work

  • You think in structure: you can break down an ambiguous problem, find what matters and build a clear path forward
  • You finish things. You run several projects at once and see each one through to the end
  • You’re organized, detail-oriented and work well in systems
  • You write and present clearly, whether it’s a one-page update or a board deck
  • You get things done without formal authority, by earning trust across sales, product and engineering
  • You’re comfortable moving between the big picture and the detail in the same day

06Benefits

  • Involvement in a fast growing international data-driven company
  • Opportunity to work with a highly talented and committed team in a supportive environment with strong camaraderie
  • Annual leave of 25 days per calendar year
  • 2 volunteering days off per year
  • Company pension plan
  • Free public transport to and from the Amsterdam office
  • Free and healthy office lunch catered daily
  • Annual professional development budget
  • Home office budget
