At Vio, we believe booking accommodation should feel fair and effortless, never overwhelming or unclear.
As one of the world's fastest-growing travel tech platforms, we help millions of travelers find and book the right stay at the right price. They can book with us directly, compare offers across 100+ booking sites, or book through partners who offer our experience under their own brand.
Our goal is to help travelers book like an insider. That means cutting through the noise and complexity of hotel booking and surfacing real value with clarity, transparency, and full support. No tricks. No confusion. Just great stays, booked with confidence.
With operations in 100+ markets and growing fast, our mission is to reshape how people discover and book accommodation through technology that travelers can trust.
🔍 Who we're looking forWe're looking for a senior design leader to own Vio's whole user experience: Product Design, UX Research and Content Design, and the product outcomes they serve. You'll lead a team of around ten across design, research and content. This is a chance to build a function, not inherit one.
You'll report to our Head of Product and sit in domain leadership alongside product, engineering and commercial leaders, shaping strategy from the start. Vio runs two businesses on one platform: our consumer product, and white-label and API products for partners. Your job is to make the experience across both recognisably world-class, and to build a team that can sustain it.
☑️ What you'll doSet the UX vision for Vio's next chapter, and bring product, engineering and commercial partners along with it.
Own user-facing outcomes with your peers, and make design's contribution measurable.
Lead Product Design, UX Research and Content Design, and design the org that brings them together in your first 90 days.
Set and hold the craft bar: run critique and product reviews, and make journeys consistent across our products and brands.
Work with Product and Engineering on how we ship, not only what we ship: bring design into problem framing early, and raise the quality of what reaches our users.
Build a team people want to join and stay in: clear ownership, air cover, real growth paths, and recognition for great work.
Stay close to the work, with ring-fenced time on north-star concepts and cross-product journeys.
Make AI part of how design, research and content work.
Give design a stronger voice inside Vio and a visible presence outside it.
You've led a multi-discipline UX organisation (design and design systems, research, content) at scale, including leaders of leaders, with real depth across all three, including research.
You frame the problem before the solution, make trade-offs between user and commercial needs, and can show the outcomes and metrics you've moved with Product.
You're a credible peer to senior product, engineering and business leaders, and you influence beyond design.
You've designed B2B2C products, where partners offer the product to their own customers and judge it as well as end users.
Your own craft holds up at the highest level: you lead critique, set the quality bar in the details, and articulate a vision that others rally behind.
You build teams that grow, and you hire people stronger than yourself.
You use AI in your own practice and know how to scale it across a team.
Nice to have: travel, marketplace or OTA experience; multi-brand or white-label design systems; a visible external profile through talks, writing or case studies.
