Typical duties include: - Overseeing development of procurement packages, independent government cost estimates, statements of work, acquisition strategies, and supporting documentation, while coordinating with contracting, budget, and technical subject matter experts throughout the acquisition life-cycle in support of the flood mapping program. - Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, risk analysts, floodplain managers, acquisition staff, and program leadership to integrate technical requirements, establish priorities, resolve issues, and support informed decision-making. - Monitoring contractor and project execution across the Risk Analysis Branch portfolio by tracking progress against scope, budget, schedule, deliverables, and quality expectations. - Analyzing financial, procurement, and project performance information to identify risks, resolve execution issues, recommend corrective actions, and brief leadership on project status and resource needs. - Supervising assigned staff by planning and assigning work, setting priorities, reviewing work products, evaluating performance, supporting staff development, and improving branch-level administrative and program operations.

What else do I need to know? At FEMA, our mission is to help people before, during and after disasters, and every employee at FEMA has a role in emergency management. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description.

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
