Join an AI-driven Tech Company and help build a modern finance function? Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Perhaps you have built a strong foundation at an accounting firm or in an in-house finance team, and are now looking for a more dynamic environment where you can take greater ownership, make a real impact, and help shape how things are done.
01Tendium is looking for an experienced Accountant to join the team
The Finance team owns the numbers at Tendium. We are building the finance function of tomorrow, where AI and automation handle repetitive tasks, allowing you to focus on work that requires your expertise and judgment. You will not only work within existing structures but also help shape them by documenting procedures, improving workflows, and building scalable processes as we grow.
About TendiumTendium is the global pioneer in AI-driven public tender management, transforming how companies discover, analyse, and win government contracts. Our platform turns complex processes into something simple and transparent, empowering businesses to compete fairly for billions in public sector opportunities. We’ve been building our AI-native platform since 2018, leveraging a vast data moat, agentic AI, and tens of thousands of hours of R&D. Today, we serve large numbers of customers across Europe and are rapidly scaling.
The RoleThis is a hands-on role with broad responsibility. You'll work closely with the CFO and take ownership of important parts of our day-to-day accounting while helping us develop scalable processes as we grow. Your responsibilities will include:
Monthly Closing & Reconciliations: Independently perform monthly closings, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and VAT reporting across multiple group entities.
Revenue Recognition: Manage revenue reconciliations and deferrals related to customer contracts and subscription invoicing.
Accounts Receivable: Own invoicing, customer payments, reminders, and collections.
Day-to-Day Accounting: Handle bookkeeping, supplier invoices, payments, expenses, payroll support, and intercompany transactions.
Year-End Closing & Audit: Support year-end closings, annual reports, and audits together with the CFO.
Systems & Improvements: Improve and document accounting routines, develop workflows, and explore how automation and AI can make our finance processes more efficient.
02We value ambition, ownership, and the right mindset as much as experience
Independent & Proactive: You take ownership of your work, drive tasks to completion autonomously, and proactively identify challenges, find solutions, and seek support when needed.
Attention to Detail: Your reconciliations are accurate, and you investigate discrepancies until you fully understand them and can clearly explain their causes.
Adaptable & Growth Mindset: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift, challenges evolve, and not everything is figured out yet. You're eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated by the opportunity to grow alongside the company.
Curious & Tech-Savvy: You're curious about new technologies and eager to explore how AI and automation can improve financial processes. You have strong systems proficiency, understand API integrations, and continuously look for smarter, more efficient ways of working.
Process Builder: You are comfortable working without established procedures and understand how to create scalable processes by collaborating with other system owners and specialists.
Fluent in English, proficient in Swedish
3-6 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally from a Swedish accounting firm (redovisningsbyrå) or a similar role in-house with broad accounting responsibilities.
Solid practical experience with Swedish bookkeeping, VAT, reconciliations, and monthly closings.
Experience independently managing accounting for one or several Swedish companies, from day-to-day transactions through monthly closing.
Comfortable working directly in accounting systems and handling accounting tasks.
Good communication skills in Swedish and English.
03Nice to have
Experience with Fortnox.
Experience preparing year-end accounts and annual reports.
Experience with SaaS, subscription billing, or revenue deferrals.
Experience improving accounting processes or implementing automation.
Excited to join us? Apply today! We review applications on a rolling basis and look forward to getting to know you. Please note that we are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship or work permit support for this position. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in Sweden.
