01The work

We're seeking a dedicated, passionate, and eager Principal Technical Program Manager to join our team responsible for leading large cross-functional programs linked to our Products. This role reports to the Head of TPM within Ripple Core. This is a challenging and technical role, requiring the expertise to synthesize business and technical requirements and the foresight to ensure we are solving for Ripple's current and future customer needs. You will bring a strong understanding of traditional finance and trading markets, and use it to help bridge the needs of financial institutions with the capabilities of digital asset infrastructure. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to design robust and scalable systems, lead product schedules, remove roadblocks, and ensure high development velocity. Ideal candidates have a track record of seeing around the corner and providing technical leadership to deliver for customers. You will be responsible for high-level strategy, but also know when to get hands-on to push an initiative forward. You must be passionate about enabling teams to invent and deliver customer-focused solutions to bold and ambiguous challenges.

02What you'll do

  • Develop department-level priorities and strategy across strategic financial product initiatives by deeply understanding our institutional clients, the financial markets they operate in, and the technology that serves them.
  • Reduce ambiguity and risk by proactively identifying and eliminating bottlenecks and obstacles, raising issues strategically, and making sound data-driven decisions that deliver for our customers based on associated trade-offs.
  • Communicate with purpose and clarity, bringing together cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives.
  • Be a role model and an inspiring leader for other TPMs.
  • Create technical frameworks that can be used by engineering teams for decision-making.
  • Improve the efficiency of Operational Excellence processes across the organization.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and business leaders to align development priorities with the needs of financial institutions and market participants, driving alignment across internal teams and external partners such as banks, custodians, and market infrastructure providers.
  • Drive Ripple’s strategic initiatives that bring institutional financial products to market end to end, partnering with executive leadership to set direction, align business units, and translate company goals into executable multi-year programs.
  • Own outcomes across a portfolio of large programs serving financial institutions, anticipating cross-program dependencies and regulatory, operational, and market risks, making trade-off calls at the leadership level, and ensuring delivery translates into measurable client and business impact.

03What you'll bring

  • 12+ years of technical program management experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs in complex financial services or financial technology environments, with a track record of delivering strategic initiatives across multiple organizations and external partners.
  • Deep experience in traditional finance (TradFi), such as banking, asset management, broker-dealers, custodians, or financial market infrastructure, with a strong understanding of the financial services landscape, its key players, and its regulatory environment.
  • Working knowledge of crypto or traditional trading markets, including market structure, liquidity, and the full trade lifecycle from order management and execution through clearing and settlement.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to identify trends and manage the health of programs and systems.
  • Shown understanding and working knowledge of software development and modern project management standard processes, such as Agile, Scrum, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Ability to coordinate multi-functionally, build consensus, and deliver across teams. Able to influence without authority, negotiate, and encourage others in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with project planning tools such as Jira and Confluence, and proficiency in Google Sheets.
  • Experience crafting or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • Experience in Payments, Custody, Stablecoin, Prime Brokerage, Tokenization, and/or Blockchain ecosystems.
