About the role

Full text from the employer, as published on Arbeitnow, arranged into sections. Nothing added or removed.

As Event Marketing Manager, EMEA, you will help shape how developers, platform teams, and open-source communities experience Coder in person and online. You will plan and execute events that build awareness, create pipeline, and turn technical interest into meaningful engagement.

You will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Developer Relations, Product Marketing, and partners to bring event programs to life. You will manage the details, connect the teams, and make each experience feel useful, credible, and well run.

01What you’ll do here

  • Plan and execute Coder’s EMEA event programs, including trade shows, conferences, summits, and partner activations.

  • Manage event timelines, budgets, vendors, contracts, staffing plans, registration, logistics, shipping, and on-site execution.

  • Partner with DevRel and Product Marketing to create event experiences that resonate with developers, platform engineers, DevOps teams, and technical buyers.

  • Work with Sales to align event strategy to account priorities, meeting goals, pipeline creation, and follow-up motions.

  • Create pre-event and post-event communications, including attendee outreach, internal briefings, speaker prep, staff guides, and follow-up plans.

  • Coordinate Coder’s presence at open-source, developer, ai infrastructure, cloud, and platform engineering events.

  • Help identify the right events for Coder to attend, sponsor, host, or skip based on audience fit, business goals, and community relevance.

  • Manage relationships with agencies, production teams, venues, event organizers, swag vendors, and other external partners.

  • Track event performance across attendance, engagement, meetings, leads, pipeline influence, sourced pipeline, and qualitative feedback.

  • Travel as needed to support hands-on event execution and ensure every program runs smoothly.

02What we’re looking for

  • Must be located in the UK

  • 4-7 years of experience in event marketing roles.

  • Strong experience planning and executing events from start to finish, including logistics, communications, vendors, timelines, budgets, and on-site details.

  • Excellent program management skills. You can manage multiple moving parts, keep stakeholders aligned, and bring order to complex work.

  • High attention to detail. You catch issues early, document clearly, and make sure the small things do not become big problems.

  • Create event playbooks, briefing docs, run-of-show plans, staffing guides, and post-event reports.

03Bonus tacos if you have

  • Experience marketing to developers, DevOps teams, platform engineers, infrastructure teams, or other technical audiences.

  • Experience working in or around open-source communities, developer ecosystems, or technical community programs.

  • Experience supporting open-source projects, foundations, community events, or contributor programs.

  • Familiarity with developer conferences and communities such as KubeCon, GitHub Universe, Open Source Summit, DevOpsDays, HashiConf, or similar events.

  • Experience with account-based marketing and sales-aligned event motions.

  • Experience with event technology and marketing systems such as, Cvent, Luma, HubSpot, Salesforce, or 6sense.

04Our tech stack

You do not need to know every tool on day one, but familiarity with common go-to-market and event systems will help you ramp quickly. This role may work across tools such as Asana, Salesforce, HubSpot or Marketo, event platforms, ABM tools, shared content systems, and internal planning docs.

08Our use of AI in hiring

We use AI tools to help manage our recruitment process efficiently and fairly. Specifically:

  • Ashby and Brainerr help us review inbound applications by surfacing candidates who best match the role requirements we've defined. This tool does not make hiring decisions; it helps our team prioritize which applications to review first.

  • Granola takes notes during our interview calls so our team can focus on the conversation with you.

All hiring decisions are made by humans. Our team reviews applications, conducts interviews, and makes final selections. AI tools assist us but never replace human judgment, and these practices are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection, AI governance, and labor laws. Your data is not used to train AI models.

In accordance with New York City Local Law 144, an independent bias audit has been conducted on "Automated Employment Decision Tools"; results are available for Ashby.
