About the role

About us

People assume the supply chain is an automated, algorithmic system. In reality, hundred of thousands of operators acting as the glue between organisations and systems, doing work the world depends on, with tools that have barely changed in decades and spending hours a day on email. Nexcade is building the agentic operating system for those people, transforming the way people communicate and optimise the $1T spend on logistics every year.

Our agents are live in production with leading global Freight Forwarders, pricing millions in freight every week, and we are rapidly expanding the platform to touch every part of the logistics lifecycle.

Our founders, Dan and Tasho, spent years at Sedna and Palantir working with supply chain companies on problems like this one. We have raised $8.5M to make this a reality from top VCs and angels who backed or founded Synthesia, n8n and other world-class companies.

How we work
  • Everybody builds, founders included. The whole company is technical, commercial team included, and runs on coding agents. You will not be asked to write software, but you will run your prospecting, preparation, follow-up and business-case analysis on agents rather than by hand.

  • Closely with customers and design partners, so what we ship changes how they operate.

  • At pace. Fast cycles and quick iterations, on the product and on how we work.

  • End to end. If you see something broken or missing, you have the freedom (and the responsibility) to fix it.

  • In person, in London. We value synchronous communication.

  • Debate rigorously, decide quickly, execute relentlessly.

  • Enjoy the journey. Hard problems, good colleagues.

The role

We are building the AI platform for freight forwarding, and as a founding sales leader you will partner with Dan, our CEO, to win deals now and to put in place the process, tooling and playbooks that make the next ones predictable.

01What you’ll do

  • Drive Full-Cycle Sales: Partner directly with our CEO to craft and execute a detailed go-to-market plan that hits aggressive growth targets. Manage the entire sales process from initial outreach through contract signature. Qualify leads, run discovery, deliver compelling demos, navigate technical and commercial objections, and close deals. Own the number.

  • Build the Pipeline Machine: Instrument a multi-channel demand generation engine including events strategy, AI BDR outreach, targeted ABM campaigns, and creative outbound. You'll leverage emerging sales tools and AI to punch above our weight.

  • Master the Product Story: Own our sales demo and product positioning strategy. Work closely with Deployment Strategists to ensure demos resonate with different personas and value props. You should be able to run a killer demo yourself.

  • Navigate Complex Sales: Sell into freight forwarding operations, IT, and executive buyers. Handle technical conversations, security reviews, and integration discussions. Know when to bring in technical resources and when to close solo.

  • Manage Commercial Relationships: Own the customer relationship post-sale through onboarding and expansion. Work with the Deployment team on smooth handoffs. Identify upsell and expansion opportunities.

  • Build Sales Foundations for Scale: Establish our sales tech stack (CRM, engagement tools, analytics). Create repeatable playbooks, sales collateral, and battlecards. Document what works. Build the foundation that enables the first 10 sales hires.

What we look for
  • Proven Sales Closer: Deeply motivated by winning deals and hitting numbers, with a track record of hitting quota in B2B SaaS or logistics tech. You've closed complex deals with multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles, and you know your conversion rates, pipeline velocity and deal cycle times because you instrument what you do.

  • 0-to-1 Builder: You've sold at an early-stage company where nobody handed you a playbook, so you wrote one. You can zoom out to shape GTM strategy with the CEO, then zoom in to write the cold email and prep the demo, and you're comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration.

  • Logistics Domain Knowledge: Prior experience selling into freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain is highly valuable. If you don't have it, you've shown you can become a domain expert quickly and speak credibly with industry buyers.

  • Technical Fluency: Comfortable discussing AI, automation, APIs and integrations with technical buyers. You can hold your own on system architecture, security and data flows without needing engineering on every call.

  • Founding Team Mentality: Willing to do what it takes to win, whether that's working a trade show floor, building a custom demo environment or getting a contract over the line yourself. You thrive in the chaos of early-stage startups.

Why join

As the first commercial hire you will shape how Nexcade sells, who it sells to and what the product becomes, working alongside an engineering team from Palantir, Raft, Faculty, UnlikelyAI and Oxford. You will sell directly to the businesses that will run on what we build, on AI applied to an industry that has resisted software for decades. You will get meaningful equity, so when this works you share in it. The sales playbook and stack, the demand engine, the partner channel and the expansion motion from one module to the next are not built yet, and would be yours.
