01About Klim
The team at Klim is building the operating system for regenerative agriculture. We help farms restore their soil - and turn that into real, measurable business value for the food companies, banks and insurers who depend on it.
We’re a Berlin-based agritech startup backed by $22M in Series A funding, partnering with global food leaders such as Nestlé and ADM to build supply chain resilience through regenerative agriculture. Since 2020, we’ve supported +4,000 farmers managing over 900,000 hectares.
Join our incredible team of 80+ dedicated people across Germany, the UK, Poland and Czechia to help build a more sustainable, resilient food system and drive real climate impact.
02Your mission
As our Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for growing Klim's business in the UK. You'll source, win and expand partnerships with a wide variety of food companies operating in the UK, helping them build more profitable, resilient supply chains, and scale Klim’s business in a key strategic market.
You'll build our UK sales pipeline and help grow our presence in the market with a focus on generating leads, scoping consultative programmes, negotiating partnerships and managing key customer relationships.
You'll also play a leading role in identifying market opportunities, customer needs and emerging trends that can inform Klim’s UK strategy, go-to-market engine, marketing, and product roadmap.
This role is based in the UK, and we have a coworking space in London where the team meets to collaborate. Expect mostly UK-based travel, with occasional trips to our Berlin office for company-wide get-togethers.
03What you'll do
Shape our UK go-to-market strategy: define target accounts, account plans and pricing within Klim’s standard offering. Help lead our marketing and communications strategy, build our brand and reputation, and bring customer feedback into product and strategy.
Own the end-to-end enterprise sales cycle: guide CPGs, retailers, agri-traders and other businesses from outreach, discovery and qualification through to programme design, proposals, negotiation and signed contracts. Help stakeholders across finance, procurement and sustainability understand how soil regeneration supports Scope 3 reduction, supply chain resilience, lower sourcing risk and enterprise value.
Build UK partnerships: develop relationships with complementary businesses, grain traders, agronomy businesses and industry bodies that connect Klim with UK farmers and buyers.
Grow lasting customer relationships: develop initial programmes into larger, multi-year partnerships across commodities and sourcing regions. Collaborate with our internal teams to deliver successful programmes and support renewals.
Turn market insights into action: stay up to date with regulatory developments, competitors, industry trends and standards. Use this knowledge to advise customers and identify opportunities for Klim’s UK business.
You’ll be responsible for UK new business and account growth, reporting directly to Rory Davidson, UK Country Lead & Head of Marketing.
04What success looks like after 12 months
Revenue targets met: Target of net new UK contract value closed.
Pipeline targets met: a qualified UK pipeline target met, implementing a MEDDPICC sales motion
Expansion targets met: top UK accounts grown into larger or multi-year programmes.
New logos: Target of net new UK enterprise clients signed from our target ICPs
Market presence & reputation: Klim recognised as a credible voice on regenerative supply chains by UK buyers, partners & industry bodies
05Must have
You’re deeply motivated to grow Klim’s business in the UK and take it to the next level.
Location: You are based in the UK and have the right to work there.
Consulting or Enterprise sales: You have 5+ years in consulting and/or enterprise B2B sales, business development or client-facing leadership roles. You have a track record of scoping and leading large complex projects, and / or closing complex, 6- and 7-figure deals with a technical element (preferably within sustainability or procurement)
P&L Impact: Demonstrated experience developing and closing commercial partnerships, contracts, or other revenue-generating opportunities.
Sector depth: You have experience in the UK agri-food system - e.g. agri-food sustainability, agritech, soil carbon or MRV, agronomy & inputs, or food & drink supply chains.
Consultative approach: you diagnose before you pitch, build the business case together with the customer, and are comfortable managing different stakeholders - including senior finance and procurement leaders. Consulting experience is preferred.
Sales discipline: Experience with a structured sales method such as MEDDPIC, and CRM tools such as Pipedrive.
Ownership: Excited to lead and build out a market with a small local team, with a larger cross-functional support team behind you.
Communication: Used to preparing high quality client-facing materials, and confident presenting to boards and at industry events.
06Nice to have
A background in management or sustainability consulting
A network across UK food companies, retailers, grain traders or farming organisations
Working knowledge of regenerative agriculture, Scope 3 accounting (e.g. SBTi FLAG, GHG Protocol) or UK agricultural policy
Experience in fast-growing start-ups, or growth / marketing / partnership management.
07What we offer
Impact: a daily, measurable contribution to soil health, the climate and fairer outcomes for farmers.
Ownership: the chance to build Klim's UK business, with real autonomy and direct access to our leadership team.
Growth: a company scaling across Europe, with room to grow the UK team - and your remit with it.
Flexibility: we foster a flexible, remote work approach, with regular get togethers with the team in Berlin and out in the field.
Package: competitive salary & commission scheme tied to UK results
At Klim, we believe that a thriving workplace is built on the diverse backgrounds, talents, and perspectives of our team. We grow stronger together by embracing and building on each individual’s unique strengths.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. All hiring and personnel decisions are made solely based on qualifications, performance, and the needs of the company - ensuring fairness and equal opportunity for all.
If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply. You might be the perfect fit for our team in ways you don’t yet realize!
