Job description

About the role

Full text from the employer, as published on Arbeitnow, arranged into sections. Nothing added or removed.

01The role

As a Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy & Development, you will work in a small, AI enabled team of highly driven and committed individuals, reporting to the Director Corporate Strategy & Development. This is a high-exposure role, acting as the strategic and analytical engine for our most important decisions in a team that reports directly to the Group CEO.

You will work across the team's full agenda: Group and business unit strategy, portfolio and capital allocation decisions, and M&A. You are hands-on: you build the financial models, analysis and executive-level outputs yourself. You work under the guidance of the team leadership, owning the quality of analysis and models within your workstreams as well as the respective internal stakeholder relationships.

02What you’ll do

  • Corporate Strategy: Support the development of the Group's mid-term strategy by driving the process, own the underlying analysis, strategic synthesis, and preparation of strategic documents.
  • Business Unit Strategy: Act as an internal consultant, supporting our key business units across geographies on a project-by-project basis to develop their mid-term strategies and solve their most complex challenges.
  • M&A Strategy: Drive workstreams for M&A projects, building and owning financial models, analyzing targets, preparing negotiations and supporting the M&A processes the team owns.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Contribute to the strategic analysis for key portfolio decisions, including potential geo-expansions, new vertical or brand launches or divestments.
  • Capital Allocation: Develop and improve the analytical frameworks and models to support our strategic budget allocation and ROI analysis.

03What you’ll bring

  • Experience: 4+ years of high-performance experience from a top-tier Management Consulting firm, Investment Banking, or a comparable in-house Strategy / Corporate Development team.
  • Toolkit: Exceptional qualitative and analytical problem-solving skills. You are hypothesis-driven and can own and structure complex analytical problems from end-to-end. You are utilizing AI tools to meaningfully improve your productivity. Ability to build applications with AI coding tools is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial modeling skills are required: you have built and defended models used for investment or strategic decisions. Valuation experience is a plus. You are just as comfortable building analysis and models from scratch as you are managing processes and presenting recommendations to leadership.
  • DTC economics: You are comfortable working with typical DTC KPIs like CAC, AOR, AOV, CLV, retention and understand how cohort economics build a P&L over time. DTC marketing analytics experience is a plus but not required.
  • Communication: Proactive 360° communication and excellent ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear, concise storylines, presentations and memos for an executive audience.
  • How you work: You take ownership of outcomes and pressure-test your own conclusions before presenting them. You go deep into the analysis to get to the right answer, and know when it is good enough to decide.

04What you will get in return

  • 70% off HelloFresh or Green Chef boxes
  • Company pension scheme
  • Gym membership
  • Bupa private medical insurance (including dental & family cover options)
  • Mental health first aiders and an employee assistance programme
  • Nursery support scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Group Life Assurance
