  • Develop a deep understanding of the user experiences you work across.
  • Provide a holistic view of your domain, supported by insights, data, and clear articulation of user problems and opportunities.
  • Raise product design quality across UX, visual, content, and interaction design and adoption of the design system, promoting reuse and consistency with Brand and code.
  • Champion inclusive and accessible design practices, ensuring standards are upheld.
  • Represent XD within Rightmove and stay engaged with best practice and industry trends.
  • Support team hiring and recruitment when needed.

02What you’ll bring to the role

  • Demonstrated expertise designing complex, multi-sided platforms or marketplace experiences, ensuring interactions between multiple users feel intuitive, trustworthy, and high-performing.
  • Experience managing and developing Product Designers with clarity, coaching, and support.
  • Curiosity and creativity in exploring new technologies and approaches, including the responsible use of AI in design.
  • Ability to influence design direction through insights, evidence, and rapid conceptual thinking.
  • Leadership skills in recruitment and onboarding, providing clear direction and continuous feedback.
  • Excellent collaboration, effective communication and storytelling skills with leadership, stakeholders and peers, building trust and nurturing strong relationships.
  • A passion for continuous learning and development, with a proactive approach to enhance ways of working and collaboration, contributing to design operations for XD.
  • A strong grasp of design systems, interaction patterns and scalable frameworks.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to balance business goals, including commercial opportunities with user needs and long-term product vision.
  • A proactive approach to evolving ways of working and improving cross-team delivery and collaboration.
