01About Rivia

Rivia is a technology company building a data engine that powers the future of clinical trial intelligence. Rivia was founded on the belief that new drugs can be brought to market more successfully with a fraction of today's capital.

Biotechs are the source of most therapeutic innovation, yet clinical development is constantly constrained by fragmented data and outdated tooling. Rivia unifies clinical trial data at scale through a core engine built as a reusable intelligence layer, comprising hundreds of configurations and trial-specific logic, independent of source structure. This vertical stack of data engine, workflows, and agents creates a distinct advantage in how trials are operated.

Over the past two years, European- and US-based biotechs running global clinical trials on Rivia have demonstrated measurable impact, from earlier understanding of therapeutic potential to significantly more efficient trial execution. In March 2026, Rivia raised its $15M Series A led by Earlybird Venture Capital.

Rivia's ambition is to become the standard infrastructure for modern drug development, transforming how trials are executed end-to-end.

02The Role

As our Clinical Solutions Consultant, you'll be the bridge between science, technology, and sales, helping biotech and pharma companies understand how Rivia can transform the way they work with clinical trial data.

You'll partner closely with our Account Executives throughout the technical stages of the sales cycle, turning complex scientific and technical challenges into compelling product demonstrations, tailored sandboxes, and solutions that address real customer needs.

This isn't a role where you simply present slides or follow a demo script. You'll need to understand clinical trial workflows, get hands-on with data, challenge assumptions, and translate complex customer requirements into solutions we can actually deliver.

You'll also play an important role in shaping how we approach technical pre-sales at Rivia, building repeatable processes, improving our demo environments, and helping us scale without losing the scientific depth and customer understanding that make us different.

03What Excites You

  • Bringing science and technology together: You love understanding complex scientific challenges and translating them into practical, impactful solutions.

  • Being hands-on: You don't just talk about what a product can do. You enjoy building demos, configuring sandboxes, working with data, and showing customers what's possible.

  • Making an impact on revenue: You enjoy being part of the sales process, influencing strategic deals, and helping customers confidently make decisions.

  • Solving real customer problems: You're curious about how biotech and pharma companies operate and enjoy finding creative ways to address their challenges.

  • Building from the ground up: You get excited about joining a growing company where you can shape processes, improve tools, and help establish how technical pre-sales should work.

  • Working across teams: You enjoy collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering, balancing commercial opportunities with technical feasibility.

04Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives as the scientific and technical expert throughout the sales process, helping prospects understand how Rivia can address their specific challenges.

  • Lead in-depth product demonstrations tailored to customers' clinical trial workflows, data structures, and scientific requirements.

  • Build and configure customized sandboxes, demo environments, and prototype integrations to demonstrate Rivia's value using realistic customer scenarios.

  • Understand customers' clinical trial pipelines, protocols, endpoints, and data challenges, translating their needs into practical technical solutions.

  • Scope prospective customer implementations, identifying technical requirements, dependencies, risks, and feasibility before commercial commitments are made.

  • Collaborate closely with Solutions Engineers and Customer Engagement to ensure smooth handovers from pre-sales to implementation.

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to both customers and internal teams, confidently addressing complex scientific questions while being transparent about product capabilities and limitations.

  • Adapt demonstrations and technical conversations to customers' familiarity with and readiness to adopt AI-driven solutions.

  • Identify recurring customer needs, technical objections, and product gaps, sharing insights with Product and Engineering to continuously improve our offering.

  • Help develop scalable pre-sales processes, reusable demo environments, and technical documentation as Rivia grows.

05What Excites Us

  • Scientific background: You have a degree in life sciences, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, or a related scientific discipline, and you're comfortable navigating complex scientific discussions.

  • Relevant experience: You bring at least 4 years of client-facing experience in solutions consulting, technical pre-sales, field application science, technical account management, or similar roles.

  • Scientific and technical fluency: You understand scientific data and experimental logic, and can quickly grasp complex clinical trial workflows and technical requirements.

  • Hands-on technical skills: You've personally built and configured product demos, sandboxes, or technical proof-of-concepts, rather than only presenting solutions developed by others.

  • Commercial mindset: You understand how technical expertise contributes to winning deals and enjoy working closely with sales teams to move opportunities forward.

  • Customer-facing confidence: You can communicate complex technical concepts clearly and credibly, whether you're speaking with scientists, clinical operations leaders, or technical stakeholders.

  • Strong ownership: You're proactive, independent, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built.

  • Collaborative approach: You know when to challenge assumptions, push back on unrealistic commitments, and work across teams to deliver the best outcomes for customers.

06Bonus / Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in scientific software, clinical trial technology, biotech platforms, or laboratory informatics.

  • Familiarity with clinical trial protocols, endpoints, regulatory considerations, and clinical data integration.

  • Experience working with AI-driven products or communicating the value of AI to scientific and technical stakeholders.

07Our Values

  • In It to Win It: Approach every challenge with determination, resilience, and a drive to achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • Embrace Change: We see change as an opportunity for growth, innovation, and improvement, continuously evolving to stay one step ahead.

  • Why Not?: We challenge assumptions, stay curious, and explore new possibilities rather than accepting things as they are.

  • Find the Gap: We proactively identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and solve problems before they arise.

  • Collective Accountability: We're one team, on one mission, committed to shared responsibility, mutual support, and trust.

  • Value Add Solutions: Know better. Act better. We're dedicated to delivering meaningful solutions that create real impact.
