Join the WeVote Movement WeVote has an open volunteer position for a Financial Controller, for 3-5 hours or more per week. 01About Us
WeVote is a nonpartisan get-out-the-vote nonprofit startup and a celebrated Fast Forward nonprofit technology grantee. WeVote is a movement of over 250 active passionate, part-time volunteers (starting with the founders) who build mobile technologies that will touch and mobilize millions of voters on Election Day. We believe that many voters are busy, distracted, and impatient. We have a goal of providing a positive voting experience that helps people decide how to vote.

02What You'll Do
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and expense management, working with bookkeepers.
- Develop annual budgets, monitor spending, analyze budget variances, and support financial forecasts.
- Monitor cash balances, project future cash needs, manage working capital, and ensure sufficient liquidity.
- Oversee accounting software, financial reporting tools, payroll integrations, and automation of financial processes.
- Provide financial reports, performance metrics, and explanations of financial results to company leadership, investors, and the board of directors.
- Provide financial data for tax filing.
