About the role

01About the role
Kpler is changing how the world’s markets understand global trade, giving traders, banks, funds and corporates real-time data on the movement of commodities by sea. As an Account Executive, you’ll take that proposition to new clients across Europe, opening doors and winning logos that don’t yet work with us.
You’ll own the whole sales cycle, from first conversation to signed contract, in a territory that’s yours to build. You’ll work with product and market analysts who help you win, and you’ll be rewarded for the growth you deliver.
02What you’ll do
- Own the full sales cycle. Pick up inbound leads, develop opportunities, run compelling product demos and close the deal.
- Hunt for new business. Run outbound campaigns to build your pipeline and open new logos across your European territory.
- Build your territory. Develop relationships with prospects and internal stakeholders, respond quickly to client requests and hit an annual growth quota.
- Win as a team. Work with our global Sales team, Product and market analysts to shape the best product in the market and close exciting deals.
- Forecast with confidence. Keep your pipeline and CRM accurate so we can rely on your numbers month by month and year by year.
- Deliver. Close new business consistently at or above quota.
03What we’re looking for
You’ll have:
- Experience in a commercial role, including Account Executive or sales roles
- Experience selling for a technology or data vendor
- A proven track record as a hunter: you create pipeline rather than wait for it
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivation and discipline, and a liking for fast-paced, unstructured environments
- Fluency in English and additional European language
- Willingness to travel as needed
- A collaborative approach, with a focus on long-term team and business success
- Experience in the maritime or commodities space, or knowledge of commodities markets and trends
- Familiarity with sales tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach or Sales Navigator
