About the role

01TL;DR

We're hiring a Founding BDR to build Lovable's business development motion from the ground up. The job is to find, qualify and open the right accounts using a mix of your own outreach and the automation and AI agents you build to run alongside it. You'll own a pipeline number, work closely with our Account Executives globally and build a lot of your own tooling on Lovable itself. This is also how we develop AEs: perform here and you'll be running your own deals within 12 to 18 months. There's no playbook yet, so you'll be helping to write it.

02Why Lovable?

Lovable is the software creation platform that gives people the power to act on the problems closest to them. For decades, turning an idea into software required so much capital, technical fluency, and time that many ideas never came to life. Lovable is the counterargument: a platform for all people with ideas, ambition, and problems worth solving. From solopreneurs to small business owners to teams at companies like Adidas and Zendesk, people have built over 60 million projects on Lovable since its launch in November 2024. And we're just getting started.

We're building a generational company from Stockholm, with growing teams in London, Boston, New York, and San Francisco. Our team is small, talent-dense, and moving quickly, with a culture rooted in extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. We look for people who care deeply, ship fast, and are eager to make a dent in the world.

Lovable is one of TIME's 100 Most Influential Companies and has been recognised on the Forbes AI 50 and CNBC Disruptor 50, reflecting our momentum as one of Europe's fastest-growing AI companies and one of the most ambitious places to build in this next era of software.

03What we're looking for

  • Evidence you can generate pipeline. That could be as a BDR or SDR, a founder, in sales or revenue ops, or by building something that found its own customers. We care about the outcome more than the job title, and we'll ask to see it.

  • You already use AI and automation tooling (LLMs, Clay, n8n or similar) to research, personalise and sequence outreach, and you have opinions about what works and what doesn't.

  • You'd rather automate a repetitive workflow than keep doing it by hand, and you can show us something you've built.

  • Comfortable running outbound into named accounts and getting past the first contact to the people who actually make the decision.

  • Disciplined about qualifying out. A fast, well-reasoned no is a win for the business, and you don't chase volume for its own sake.

  • Able to explain a technical product in business terms to both technical and commercial buyers.

  • You set your own priorities, manage your own pipeline and hold yourself to account.

  • You want to become an Account Executive and are prepared to earn it.

  • Fluent English. A second European language (German, French, Spanish, Italian) is useful.

  • Experience with Lovable, developer tools or a product-led growth motion is a strong plus.

04What you'll do

  • Design and run outbound systems: signal-based targeting, AI-assisted research, personalised sequences and automated workflows. Measure what converts and improve it every week.

  • Build internal GTM tooling on Lovable, such as enrichment flows, qualification agents and meeting-prep automations. The tooling you build is what the team after you will run on.

  • Qualify inbound demand quickly and thoroughly, and convert the right leads into well-prepared first meetings for the AE team.

  • Multi-thread into target accounts to reach economic buyers and technical decision-makers, not just the first person who replied.

  • Own a pipeline number and report clearly on how much comes from your own outreach versus automation, so we can scale both.

  • Work with the Account Executives you support on account plans, meeting prep and keeping deals moving between touchpoints.

  • Qualify out early and clearly when an account isn't a fit, so the team's time goes where it will pay off.

  • Feed what you're hearing from the market back to Sales, Marketing and Product to sharpen messaging and positioning.

05Where this role goes

This is a development role with a defined path to Account Executive. We expect the people who join as BDRs now to form our next AE team.

  • Structured coaching from day one: weekly call reviews with experienced AEs and your manager, and a curriculum that covers discovery, demo, commercial negotiation and deal management.

  • The expectation that you progress to running your own deals within 12 to 18 months, based on performance rather than tenure.

  • As the first BDR at Lovable, real influence over how the role, the playbook and the tooling are defined for everyone who follows.

06How we work

  • Based out of our London office Monday to Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays.

  • You'll work alongside a highly experienced team of Account Executives and your manager who will coach and support you day to day.

  • You'll have unlimited access to Lovable and whatever AI tooling you need to do the job, and the freedom to build what doesn't exist yet.

  • We'll measure you on pipeline created and meetings that convert, and on how much of that you've made repeatable for the people who come after you.

07About your application

  • Please submit your application in English. It's our company language so you'll be speaking lots of it if you join.

  • We treat all candidates equally. If you're interested, please apply through our careers portal.
